Dinner

Cool place, with streetarts on the Walls. It was the best fish taco I had in Mexico, finally a place that had grilled fish and not fried. My boyfriend had the burger, he said it was ok. Nothing spesial!

Mateo's is a must! Everything we tried was amazing but especially the fish tacos and Baja bites. The sauces were so good too. Also one night there was a live band that created a cool ambiance. The rooftop is great too. Can't wait to try it all again!

Love the food (fish tacos), the staff, the beer and the environment. It's the don't miss stop any time we head to Tulum. Casual and fun, and be sure to walk up the steps for the view!

Mateo's used to be one of our favorite restaurants on the Tulum beach. We ate there last week, they have raised their prices 100 pesos more than you can eat the same meal in town and the portions are smaller. They are learning from the gringos!! A small coke, warm may I add, was 40 pesos. Food was not worth... More

The food and ambiance are unparalleled. Mango margarita was delicious and the ceviche is the absolute best I ever had. Extremely accommodating wait staff. Good prices.

This was a fun place to have some drinks and dinner - but I didn't like that the crowd by the bar was so interested in the basketball game on the tv. Stupid.

I had the best tropical smoothie in the world at Mateo's. We did not have lunch, but the aroma of the freshly cooked entrees was in the air! Our smoothies were made from the freshest ingredients...bananas, honey, coconut...yum! This little gem is located on the Tulum jungle road and is a great place to have lunch, a drink, a smoothie,... The advertisement on the sidewalk did not disappoint. We ate here twice during our stay. My wife and son had the burrito and said that was delicious as well. The service can be a little slow, but everything moves more slowly down there. Great food, and a casual atmoshere.

First off really cool building with a "Swiss Family Robinson meets beach town" feel. Friendly wait staff, but real long wait for food to come out and the place was not too busy. Food was just ok once it arrived - nothing to write home about and we did have the self proclaimed "world's best fish tacos" which were cold... More
