My girl and I dined here for the past two nights. The first thing we noticed was the amazing and friendly, genuine service by all the staff - particularly our waiter Jose Chenchito. The food was very good and very reasonably priced. Atmosphere is exactly what you'd want in a beachside paradise like Tulum. We'll be dining there again for... More

Really wanted to like this place, as the atmosphere was festive. Lots of lights in the trees and crowded with people. But... food was average at best. Chips weren't good and were cold. Salsa was "eh". Margarita tasted like it was from a mix (??). Had the carnitas tacos and they were ok. Frankly i've had way better at home.... More

A really welcoming spot with delicious food, friendly staff, great drinks (go for happy hour). The steak tacos and baja bites are phenomenal.

Get the fish tacos and watch the sunset from their sunset deck!!! Great service, atmosphere, fresh food and freshly made juices from any tropical fruit you can think of!

We walked over from our hotel across the street and were welcomed warmly. We found out it was happy hour so our drinks were BOGO, which was awesome - as were the drinks. The food was great, much better than we expected. Service was typical Mexican, very laid back and relaxed, never rushed. Try the chicken tacos!

We showed up for dinner and to our surprise there was a great live band playing salsa. The place was full to the gills, and the staff was super busy but still made time to find us a table and get our drinks out quickly. The drinks were icy cold a tasty. I ordered the ribs and they were some... More

Mateo's was right across from our hotel (the Tulumbay inn) and we ate and drank there several times on our trip. The food was always quite good, as was the service. The decor of the outdoot dinningroom was charming. The bar and drinks were also ok, a bit high priced, but over-all a good restaurant.

We rocked up on push bikes totally exhausted from a visit to the ruins down the road. All I wanted was a cold drink and to get into the shade away from the sun. We ended up eating a cheese quesadilla, fish tacos and garlic fries along with beers and the freshest fruit smoothie I have had in a long... More

Didn't smell bad , just a Star Wars joke. The lights and the atmosphere was great the service was a bit slow and the battered fish had no seasoning. Seems like a cool place to throw back some beers with some friends and people watch but it's not my place for food.

We went to dinner at this place with friends like us very much the place but to order the food we brought a great disappointment, we ate shrimp with bacon not recommended because the bacon was chewy and the shrimp did not know well, the chicken tacos horrible the omelette was too hard too dry roasted chicken. We returned the... More
