Located on the side of a highway, it is easy to find. Bright , inviting restaurant. Outside sitting or inside under the fans. All employees had pertual smiles on their faces. The menu is extensive, ceviche, fish, chicken, beef. Dinners, tacos, sandwiches. And very cold beer. A medium ceviche was enough for 2 . Careful the jumbo is served on a... More

I was told by several locals on a recent trip to Akumal that El Camello Jr. is the best seafood restaurant in the area. I can't dispute that. Everyone has their individual preference for food and service, but I don't remember having better of either at another restaurant in the 20 years I have been traveling to Mexico. The service... More

Found this place on tripadvisor and went for dinner with my parents. Once we arrived we thought it must be the sister restaurant to El Pirata in Playa - same menu, same paintings on the walls. I ordered ceviche (as I did at El Pirata) and my parents ordered shrimp cocktails - I didn't enjoy my ceviche, I eat everything... More

not much to say, dirt cheap and huge portions, octopus/fish/shrimp/squid, all worth the try! homemade habanero/lime sauce rules, beers are dirt cheap. Ok location kinda sucks though.

The food and service at this place it's really good. Located on the south part of Tulum it's an ok place to go eat. The food comes out pretty fast but please just be aware that after the sun goes down there is an incredible amount of mosquitoes that will hide under the table and sting you over and over.... More

If you are looking to see where the locals go out to eat fresh fish, look no further than El Camello. We've been to this place many times and we are never disappointed. We order the garlic filet of fish and it comes in a huge portion with beans and rice and its simply delicious. The servicing is so large... More
