People worldwide are joining campaigns and pressuring governments in a joint effort for shark conservation. Not these people. Every year PREGNANT female bull sharks migrate to the area, and it appears that these people instead of joining forces with local dive operators, they are killing these sharks and serving them to their customers! Granted the people who order shark meat... More

First if you have ever gone snorkeling or diving in the area you should know that the reefs are in really BAD shape. These guys often serve seafood when it is out of season, which means they are buying during prohibited reproduction cycles or it is frozen. During the winter months people come from around the world to dive with... More

Great traditional food in town. Cheaper than on the beach area and almost to the limit south of town on the main street. Got to try it.

I ate until my stomach could hold no more. The octopus here is the stuff of legend. It's like butter. Get it spicy (it's not that hot). The refried beans are insane. The ceviche is perfect. The meal began with nachos and various dips, sauces, and salsas. One was a salt fish dip which was interesting and delicious. Another was... More

This place have the bigger dishes in Tulum, the food is good sometimes you need to add more salt to your ceviche but its ok, the place is always full all day so if you wanna eat there you will need to wait some minutes.

For quality and portion size, you can't go wrong with this amazingly busy seafood heaven in Tulum! The ceviche and the seafood/fish are just so good, can't wait to go back!

Surprise, the best seafood restaurant in Tulum is not on the beach or anywhere near the water. Its located in the southern end of the town of Tulum. The fist you are eating tonight were swimming this morning. Be prepared to wait at least a half hour to get a table, the place is run by a group of fishermen,... More

Found this place from a local restaurant caterer owner as a good local place to get authentic food and he was spot on. They bring out a fresh salsa (onion, tomatoe, cilantro) and dishes of black beans for dip. There is only fish here and it's awesome. Most of us got the fish tacos which were some of the best... If your looking for an ``authentic`` local dining experience then you must go to El Camello, which means The Camel. They serve amazing seafood it was very fresh and very tasty! We ate here one evening while visiting Tulum and the place was packed, that's usually a good sign. The atmosphere isn't top notch plastic chairs and tables but the... More
