I loved the spaghetti with lobster - my husband found his qessadilla a bit to heavy on the cheese. Great menu with lots of lovely Mexican fish featuring heavily. This place may be a bit rough and ready for some people - especially if you prefer a modern looking ambiance.

Visited 5th jan 2015 ....standards of cleanliness in certain locations around the world are not as high as Western Europe, however this place really could do with a deep clean. That apart the food was good, the prices pretty cheap & the service friendly & efficient

we tried a few other restaurants in Tulsa but we really enjoy the taste and ambience at el capitan, price is reasonable for the quality of the food! Their staff is very friendly and they also have a place for breakfast around the corner and it is as good as the seafood ! The have nice juices and shakes!

I always read the negative reviews before I visit a restaurant and there were some that were critical of the service, but given that the waiters english is not so good, that the writers were just not keeping with what this restaurant is. the place is an excellent local place for seafood. I had the Caribbean fish dish and it... More

This is a very casual, reasonable place on 307 that has a dish call Shrimp Pirata that is a great choice every time. Four corn tortillas with grilled shrimp on onion, avocado and cabbage with a sauce that makes it all work. Lots of large portions and good prices make this a regular stop for us in Tulum but this... This restaurant has great seafood. I ordered the grilled lobster and it was cooked perfectly. My husband had grilled shrimp and that was delicious as well. If you're looking for fresh seafood - this is the place.

Ate here last night, grilled lobster, didn't even taste like lobster! Very dry, we then asked for butter to dip in, what they brought wasn't butter.

El Captian was recommended to us by a local and we can't emphasize enough how great it was. Combination of great mexican and seafood. When in tulum, what more could you want. Ceviche was excellent and the shrimp fajitas were out of this world. Plus out waiter was awesome, the drinks were strong and the prices were reasonable. If you... More

we had excellent fried shrimp tacos, with an excellent garlic mayo type sauce and also guacamole, fajitas, and sodas. The service was excellent, the prices were reasonable, the location was nice on the corner, facing the Avenida Tulum and our table was in the service lane part of the street and the street was partially closed for the Day of...
