If you find yourself in town, away from the beach, you will be pleasantly surprised with Ginger. The owner/chef is a wonderful host and the food/dishes he creates are excellent. We have dined at Ginger 4 times and this is a consistent and reliable restaurant. The atmosphere is modern and comfortable and you are assured a great meal.

On March 1, I was told by guide in Tulum that Ginger had closed. According to the guide, the chef at Ginger is now working in personal catering and chef work. I've checked the Ginger website and Facebook page but see nothing about it. I hope that what the guide told me is not true, but he seemed quite sure about... More

There’s not a large choice on the menu but what they do do they do extremely well. The Bananas Foster was superb but be careful if you’re driving home!

Ginger is not reviewed in all the travel guides, but definitely worth a visit. The restaurant is tucked away on a side street of the main Tulum drag (Hwy 307), but not too hard to find. The space is small and basic, but when filled with people feels intimate. My family of 6 adults and a 2 year old had... More

There were four in our party, and we each thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The fried camembert and house guacamole were excellent starters. We each had different entrees, and all were outstanding. The service was very good; staff was attentive to our needs. I would make this a definite stop when in Tulum.

This restaurant is a must!!! The food was delicious. We ordered the two different types of ceviche which were exceptional. The meat was cooked to perfection, I have had meat cooked to the right temperature in restaurants very infrequently. They excelled with food and ambience. The decor was bright and refined. The live music was so much fun and added... More

What a great place for dinner! Friendly owners, staff, and fellow clientele. Only one block off the main drag--and worth it.

Ginger is located on a side street off the main square in Tulum and only seats about 20 people. We had a great dinner there the last night of our trip. The food is very fresh and delicious and the portions were enormous - we ordered two appetizers for three people and they would have been sufficient for dinner. We... More
