While browsing these reviews for Tacos Urge, I'm seeing some comments to the effect that these fish tacos are not authentic because they are fried. That cracks me up. If you are looking for ceviche, Urge Taquito is the easily the best in Tulum. I stumbled upon this place my first time in Tulum last year and have been coming back ever since. The Ceviche is simple, authentic, bright, and fresh. I've invited all of my friends and they've become repeat customers as well. An added plus is that... More

Just about every restaurant in the Tulum area serves ceviche of some sort but Urge Taquito is where you want to start your vacation. On the north side of town we stop in get a cold beer and order the medium shrimp and fish ceviche. It is truly big enough for 2 adults. Served with corn chips and saltine crackers.... More

This place was recommended to me by a local and, although not packed during my meal, you can tell it's a popular spot. It's just off the main road, but once you step into the garden you completely forget about the road. I got the mixed cerviche and guacamole - both tasty and the portions are plentiful. I'd definitely go... More

You wouldn't be the first to miss this restaurant. Tucked away on the roadside, it's one of those hidden gems in Tulum. The place is not spectacular. You order your tacos, you grab the condiment at the taco bar, you sit and you eat.

Great seafood in a friendly setting just off the highway before entering Tulum. Food was great, with a nice, varied menu. Beer 25 pesos, fish tacos 28 pesos. Medium shrimp cocktail 90 pesos. Many locals eat here.

This open air local taco restaurante will serve you up a great fish taco. There is a smorgasbord of toppings and fillings to choose from for finishing out your selection, as well. We got ours to go as we headed out to Coba. A real plus is that this place is a little closer to local pricing which one would... More

Stopped by this fabulous little restaurant after a visit to the ruins at Coba and Tulum. It is easy to find on the main road, not far from Tulum. There is a great outdoor seating space with lots of deep shade and, on my visit, a gentle cooling breeze - just what was needed after a hot day of sightseeing.... More

We stop at Urge Taquito on the north end of Tulum everytime we come to Tulum and have a large ceviche, a couple of al plancar fish tacos, and shrimp chalupas. It may not look like much from the highway but it is always filled with locals who know what good food is and a great value. You can and... More
