We stayed at Hotel Nueva Vida de Ramiro, so we ate breakfast here several times. The bread they bring out is highly addictive. All the breakfast entrees we tried were perfect. We met up with a big crew for dinner and my filet mignon & shrimp kabobs were top-notch. Couldn't ask for anything more!

"An Argentinean restaurant in Mexico?" was our first question, but we give it a try and it was a great experience! Food is delicious and the ambiance is great. Unfortunately they do not have Mexican wines on their list. It is an expensive, cash-only restaurant, but the quality of the food makes it a good experience!

Back in Tulum just after a month for just 4 nights and had dinner 3 days here. Absolutely worth it. One of those nights was even our second dinner after having visited HARTWOOD that everyone talked about. Food there was sooo bad (don't be fooled, Hartwood is overrated) that I decided not to finish and leave a spot for one... More

Probably one of the most expensive restaurants around, still average compared to the 'outside world' of Tulum. However, worth every penny, excellent food, lovely + surprisingly fast service. Easy going, what a chilled open air dinner experience.

Most expensive meal we had in Tulum, menu was limited, food was only okay. Good wine list and great setting/ambience.

During our stay in Tulum we had dinner at Casa Banana. The restaurant is very beautiful and elegant and the staff is very friendly. The drinks are amazing (try the martini of the day) and the food is delicious (vegetarians won't get their moneys worth) BUT all in all it was VERY expensive. Too expensive for what you get to... Casa Banana is across the beach road from Nueva Vida de Ramiro. One of my favorites at the hotel. Beach service is a blessing and don't forgetbto tip your beach server. I believe service starts after 11am and feels great not having to move froma beautiful afternoon of sun and relaxation from ones beach bed. Wonderful wine list along with... More

We got to enjoy Casa Banana four mornings in a row for breakfast and one night for dinner. We were staying at Nueva Vida de Ramiro right across the street (a hotel you MUST stay at if you have the opportunity). Included in our stay was breakfast at Casa Banana...a gorgeous open aired restaurant with a beautiful open aired wood... More

I had dinner here a few nights ago with four other people and we all were extremely disappointed given the prices (circa USD 30-40). Starting with the service, the waiter was rude and not attentive. We waited an excessive amount of time to order drinks and also between courses. At best, the food was very, very average, and that's being... More
