Loved the atmosphere

The beverages here are OUT OF HIS WORLD, so unique-worth the trip to just enjoy them. The menu good too, and the lighting is most beautiful. however do not order the whole fish at nigh when it is dark,-no flavor and full of bones, of which you cannot see, so end up pulling bones out of your mouth... read more

The restaurant Casa Banana provides good and original food and a good list of wines, however in our opinion we found it was very overpriced, As it is located in the hotel area, it was difficult to park because the parking that they have is too small. The enviorement in the restaurant was good however, it hasn't views to the... More

We loved this busy Argentine parilla on the jungle side so much we returned to Casa Banana after our first visit for drinks. The cocktails are modern and impressive. Loved the "martini del dia" which changes daily. I loved the fire roasted pineapple and rosemary cocktail which the bartenders made for me a second time when we returned. Order the... More

Ended up here by chance (the place we were heading to was shut because of a problem with the generator) but we were so pleased with this place. The restaurant is along the main road with all the beach clubs, bars and hotels in Tulum. It was buzzing and had a really great atmosphere. The band were awesome! We didn't... More

This was the first restaurant we went to on our visit to Tulum and it was a horrible experience. The staff completely ignored us and we basically sat ourselves. I spent half the time there trying to get the attention of any of the staff standing around talking with each other and when they finally came over, they were unfriendly... More

The ambiance was great, the food was phenomenal, and the price reasonable. The only complaints I'd have are two: the wood fire, which is essential to the delicious food, was freaking hot on a hot summer night. Sit as far away as possible (perhaps it is nice in the winter?). Cash only! Ugh...Of course, that describes most of the food... More

Fantastic food and service! This steakhouse provides something a little different from the more traditional Mexican food. Cocktails are very strong! If you suffer from the heat, sit away from the open kitchen as it gets very very hot.

The atmoshphere at Casa Banana would have been worth the visit even without the excellent drinks and food! We enjoyed strawberry martinis with the evening air on our face. The music and intimate setting simply added to the steak ordered.
