Casa Banana has great food - a little crowded, but comfortable. Wonderful steaks and whole grilled fish.

Cash only, and the ATM on the road has wicked fees, so take pesos or dollars with you! The sting lights and outdoor atmosphere were great, we had a great waiter and good wine. They cook everything in an open fired brick oven.

We actually ended up here on our taxi driver's recommendation, as Hartwood was closed for a private function. The food was excellent, as was the cruisey, relaxed decor and atmosphere. They probably could have used another waiter or two as they were run off their feet, but it didn't detract from our experience. Definitely worth the visit.

great great set up! I loved it. The grilled fish is to die for. A little on the pricey side but again, this is Tulum!

Very nice place, EXCELLENT food, nice service. We had fabulous appetizers, drinks and the meat was outstanding. The night we went to Hartwood at the beginning we were thinking to go back to Casa Banana, but unfortunately we went there..Big mistake, as Casa Banana is MUCH better than Hartwood!

Excellent grilled food, venue has a cool chill vibe about with good music but a little pricey and cash only. Definitely recommend the fillet mignon!

We noticed Casa Banana driving by at the evening due to attractive atmosphere (from the furniture till lighting). Next evening we went there for a dinner. It was really amazing! Food was very good as well as wine. They have limited number of dishes in menu, with focus of steaks and meat dishes. As for prices, it is really expensive... More

One of the top places and a must eat at destination in Tulum. Really nice Argentinian style steaks and grilled veggies.

We were with a family group that was in Tulum for a wedding across the street at La Zebra resort. So, we wandered over to Casa Banana and asked if they could accomodate us, about 16 people in all. They were able to without much advance notice. The food was good and fast. The open fire pit for cooking was... More

Loved, loved, loved this restaurant. Yes, it's expensive, even by Tulum standards, but worth every penny. This was the BEST meal, by a mile, that we had while in Tulum. Heck, it was the best meal we had in months. Two people with a couple of drinks each and two entrees plus tip was about $100. Would do it again... More
