Great Food

We ate here several times during our 12 days in Tulum. We shared a lot of their rosemary spiced appetizers and great wines. Bummer is you have to share tables if you go in two's, which was awkward a couple of times if the fit wasn't good. But lovely food and atmosphere.

We have eaten in most of the good restaurants in Tulum over our three visits and Casa Banana was a true revelation. We did not need to stand in line to reserve, the hostess was polite and courteous, our waiters - Gilbert and his brother, Charlie were professional and always smiling and ready to do whatever they could for our... This restaurant is something you would expect to see in a movie. It's quaint, beautifully lit and has a rustic charm. However the hostess was extremely pretentious and curt. They did not have a table for two so she offered us a table for four on the proviso that another couple may join us should they want to share. I... More

Casa Banana was a great time - delicious food, good atmosphere, yummy cocktails. It's actually pretty expensive though, so the $ rating here is incorrect. Still, definitely worth it, we had a blast here.

This restaurant was so cosy and the staff so nice. They barbequed right infront of you and the meat /fish was absolutely fantastic! Its easy that you choose the restaurant woth the most comments on tripadvisor and therefore Restaurants like hartwood gets more and more comments while other places gets left behind, which is wrong. We thought this place was... More

Our last morning at the Hotel Nueva Vida de Ramiro, we were greeted in the lobby with a Mothers a Day Rose, so sweet. We decided to have our breakfast here and not at Zebra since I was going to have to pack later and did not want to relax to much watching the ocean. Z had a special MD... More

I had drinks at Casa Banana on a Friday night with a group of around 10 friends. It was very good and the drinks were very creative. We decided to come back the next day for breakfast and the place positively surprised us again! Despite some things in the menu were missing (understandable as all foods in Tulum need to... More

Great meats and salads - great staff and service - relaxed no rush atmosphere -- great fish - try the octopus salad -- was amazing -- and don't let them take the lime sauce away when you are done -- use it to dip every other dish! They are open for breakfast and lunch as well as dinner -- good... More

Get the Asparagus salad! It is cooked in a cast iron dish over the bbq with almonds and bacon and goat cheese. Yummy.
