We absolutely loved Azafran!! The most delicious breakfasts, perfect bottomless coffee and a perfect garden setting to enjoy it all in! In our month in Tulum, we had 12 breakfasts there... can't wait to come back!! ♡

Azafran is a pleasant place to have breakfast. You eat outside in a lovely garden. The coffee is good, as is the homemade rye toast and freshly squeezed orange juice that comes with the meal. Egg dishes come with mashed potatoes, which seemed strange to us, but actually went quite well with the other items.

You can get breakfast all day, and it is superb! Be sure to get the hangover breakfast. It is huge and full of protein. A fluffy omelette, German sausage, bacon, potatoes, and toast with homemade jam. The owner/chef is a German lady who has turned this courtyard into a dining oasis.

Good little restaurant in downtown Tulum, great setting with a treed courtyard, deceptive from the outside but once in courtyard it is very peaceful.

We go to Azafran regularly when we're in town, which used to be every 3 months but has been a year for various reasons. So back we go and it's just as perfect as it was a year ago. Really a consistent jewel. I always have the deli and husband always has the Hangover. It always the same: delicious! I'd... More

We came for breakfast after reading the great reviews on TA and we weren't disappointed at all. We arrived without a reservation and the owner told us there would be a wait but we got in quite quickly. It wasn't the most welcoming place at first but once we were in things were better and we ordered quickly. I had... More

I mean everything; hospitality, thoughtfulness, food, service. WOW! Very family friendly, VERY! We opted for the "mata cruda". Delicious, perfect portion. The dish comes with coffee or tea. We ate at the garden. Beautiful. There were some mosquitoes, no big deal, ask Mika for mosquito repellant and she has it on hand. What's a toddler to do while waiting for... More

I'm actually sobbing because I've been dreaming about breakfast here since yesterday, just went on a huge early morning bike ride to work up my appetite, only to find its closed on Tuesdays. Gutted. Gorgeous little outdoor courtyard garden outback.
