This resturant is gourmet mexican and unlike most others

I really enjoyed Celti and the dinning experience was unique. The food was great, a little slow but it is well prepared at the time you order. So get an extra cocktail and relax. FYI you are going to need a reservation.

So charming and unusual. The Tamarind margaritas were tasty and refreshing. The tray of complementary appetizers included tiny empanadas, homemade grainy bread served with little corn-husk packets of herbed butter, goat cheese with tomatoes, local cheese with homemade beet jelly, tostadas and salsa verde. I had the spinach salad which was simple but good. For entree, the stuffed poblano, filled... More

Cetli was a special meal. We were skeptical at first because it was so fancy in such a strange place for a fancy restaurant. We had read a few articles on Tulum ahead of time and it was mentioned in one, so we thought we'd walk in and check it out. They wanted a reservation and said they were booked... More

There are only about 10 tables in this charming restaurant. It's 2 blocks off the Main Street in Tulum town. However do not be afraid, it is very safe. Fantastic food, tamarind margarita. The appetizer plate almost fill us up even before dinner. I had the shrimp with Huitlacoche, so earthy and unique. Hubby had the poblano pepper stuffed with... More

Cetli has a wonderful atmosphere and delicious, authentic food. Highly recommend it! Definitely make a reservation in advance, as they do fill up and turn walk ins away. Plan for a long meal, they have a very small staff- I only saw one cook and one server.

Well worth a visit. The surroundings are a welcome change from the beach restaurants and are quite individual. The menu is not huge but as many other reviewers have mentioned the opening appetizer plate is superb. Our mains were Chiles en Nogada and fish in tamarind sauce - both were excellent. We thought the prices were very reasonable. our bill came to 890... An incredible experience to dine where you would least expect the traditional Mexican elegance of dinning . Hidden on a back street in the pueblo of Tulum, Mexico is this wonderful restaurant called Cetli. The dishes are created 1 at a time so patience is required but not to difficult to muster up. What the real deal this is it.... More

Make a reservation! We went one night and could not get in. They only have a handful of tables so reservations are required. Our best meal in Mexico on this trip. Service is wonderful. Go.

We went on a Saturday night and couldn't get in. We hoped to get a reservation on Monday, but they were fully booked until Tuesday at 6:30. A bit early for us, but worth it. The complimentary starter plate was unexpected and quite good. I was so excited to have Chiles en Nogada since it's not a super common dish... More

We had a great dinner here. We lucked out without making reservations. We had a nice complimentary appetizer board---our first time eating grasshoppers (crunchy, not too overwhelming flavor). The tamarind margarita was outstanding. We really enjoyed the emphasis on serving local foods and wines. The only drawback was the overwhelming smell of incense burning in the veranda, which competed with... More
