We were aware that this restaurant could be tricky to find, having read other reviews on here, but as those reviews were very complementary about the restaurant we thought it would be worth the challenge. When we eventually found the restaurant (via the beach) at 7.45pm it was all closed up and in darkness, despite the sign by that entrance... More

Not many folk on the night we had dinner at Hechizo so the restaurant seemed kind of cavernous. My steak was excellent, a perfect rare. Son's lamb OK and fish dishes nicely done. Service was attentive and not obsequious. Very happy to have been able to order Macallan as this scotch is not ordinarily available at most restaurants in Tulum.... More

The best meal of our stay! Made reservations for our last night in Tulum. Wish we had discovered it sooner. An unexpected gourmet experience!

My husband and I are here a few nights ago when honeymooning. It was a very short walk along the beach from our hotel Rosa Del Viento. Food was amazing, top quality, delicious and very fresh. The chocolate fondant for desert is incredible. Best restaurant in Tulum. And cheap for what you get.

We had tried to go in prior years but it was always closed so we got lucky this year. The chef is very personally invested and comes out to meet you and check on how you liked the food. We had the red snapper and scallops, but everything else on the menu looked great as well. It is further down,... More

Stefan is so personable, coming to your table himself. The food was quite tasty although my husband's fish was overlooked. Everything else was terrific. The whole experience was delightful. Peaceful music, beautiful surroundings, it was just great. The truffle linguini is incredible. Definitely recommend!

On our last night, in the rain and mist, we drove to the last restaurant (it's in a small beach resort) at the end of Tulum Beach for dinner - and we are glad we did! Stephan, the chef, stops by your table and is warm and engaging and sweet and funny - and the man can cook! We both... More

We have been vacationing in Tulum for the past three years and go there for the casual and no-frills experience. However, with 30 family members flying in from around the US, the grooms folks wanted to treat everyone to a special night before the wedding. Hechizo was fantastic for this. Chef Stefan Schober and his Pastry Chef wife Ying-Hui Thai... More

This is not your average restaurant in Tulum or on The Mayan Riviera. The service is excellent, they were there for everything you needed but never overbearing. The drinks were delicious, but note that they have a limited scope of what they will make, as they could not accommodate one of the requests at our table for a certain cocktail.... More

What an incredible dining experience! Started with the best margarita of our trip. Had the prix fixe offering and everything about it was perfect; flavors, presentation and portion size. The service was truly outstanding. The surroundings are beautiful. What a gem this place is! Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy a meal here.
