This place is directly across from the MEGA store. Its not hard to find because the place was really busy, tons of people. This is one of the highest rated Mexican places in downtown Playa Del Carmen. I ordered so much food here I am kinda ashamed of myself, it was all just so good. Tacos al pastor, pollo quesdillas,... This place was recommended to us by the local, so we went. it was exactly as what we were told. Good food, our waitress spoke good English and good service. However, it was so HOT! we were sweating like crazy. it was also good to see both locals and the westerner eating there and few people waiting for open table,... More

What can I say about this other than some of the best tacos el pastor, quesadillas and queso in Playa. So good we had them twice in 8 days. There is always a line for a table, but they do a great to-go service as well.

We tried to find a seat that was cooler but could not. Ordered cold drinks but still so hot in there. Good tasting food and drinks for a fair price. Then the local band started playing guitar and local flutes. Way too loud and high pitched on top on the sweltering heat. Might as well been in the kitchen. Waitress... More

We visited this restaurant 3 times for dinner. It was highly recommended by family. The restaurant is very clean. The service is excellent. Oh and they take credit cards, mexican or American money. My husband ordered the arrachera special every time. I ordered the grilled chicken breast special. Portions are very generous. So you need a big appetite or share... More

Away from main strip. well worth the 10 min walk! As well as tourists this is very popular with locals. Great Mex food. big portions (shared one fajita between 2) Great drink. good reasonable price.

Please note that I LOVE tacos and Mexican food so, this review will probably be bias. As soon as I got off the plane I came here as I read some reviews that they were good. Good they were indeed. Delicious tacos, I almost got indigestion of all the stuff I ate at once but I wanted to try everything!... More

This is not on the beaten path for tourists, but neither is it that far off...It is certainly not in an uncomfortable neighborhood. Having said this, yes it is full of locals, but the waiters spoke english and the food was excellent...and a bargain. Truly some of the best Mexican food I have every had... The fact that everything is... More

Food was very authentic and delicious! Try the Taco Al Pastor, you will not regret it! Prices were really good. You do have to walk a little bit out of the tourist area to get there but that's where you'll find more authentic local flavor anyways. Margaritas were tasty too!

Stupendous Tacos Al Pastor and Cold Cerveza after a long trip into Playa from the States. Great way to start our trip after picking up some necessities at Mega across the street
