The best Mexican food from PDL. The guys are cooking in front of you. Perfect ratio between price/good food. However it starts to be real "touristic" like restaurant. The locals are also seen around.

Well using Trip Advisor to explore and learn to read rewiews and how to try to understand how to choose a restaurant or hotel is a interesting procedure. This one was right on this local restaurant is mainly frequented by Mexican which I like. You get the real taste of the region. We were passing by a Sunday afternoon it... More

We had four people in our party, with three of us having two beers each. Three of us had the El Pastor Taco platters, and one had three of the individual tacos. The food was excellent, and the service was top notch. I had read all of theTripadvisor reviews on the place before hand, and was in total agreement with... More

That's how good it was. Ate at 3rd ave location. First place i am headed to when i go back. The only way it could be better is if it was free.

In last week we ate at that restaurant 3 times. We loved their tacos and grilled onions. Restaurant has a nice service. Place is always crowded and you have to ask for a table by the window because it's very hot upstairs. I felt that our bill was a little too high.

We tried a variety of dishes, every one better than the next. Started with tacos al pastor, then nachos normales, fajitas, and pastor chichilitos. Wow! We couldn't finish everything we ordered and it came to $31 for four people. This is a bargain and soooo worth finding!! Try it, you'll be glad you did. Also, we didn't have trouble with... More

El Fogon is a must if you are in Playa Del Carmen. It's not high-end dining by all means, but you can get a lot of great "street-food" for 80-90$MXN (less than 7$ USD). The place isn't much to look at and can be crowded and noisy, but it's kind of a mexican equivalent of that little food joint we... More

We ate at the Fogon twice, they have 2 locations, we were at both. I ordered a steak plate with tortillas, you make your own tacos unless you order the Tacos al Pastor. They have a good menu to choose from. The atmosphere is relax, it is always busy, the restaurant is clean, and it is very hot so don't... More

This place is directly across from the MEGA store. Its not hard to find because the place was really busy, tons of people. This is one of the highest rated Mexican places in downtown Playa Del Carmen. I ordered so much food here I am kinda ashamed of myself, it was all just so good. Tacos al pastor, pollo quesdillas,...
