If you don't order these, you are missing out. I prefer the platter with Pastor meat and cheese that comes with tortillas on the side. El Fogon is packed at all times with a tourists and more importantly locals. Just go.

Run don't walk to this fine Mexican establishment. The service was outstanding. The meal was incredible. The price was definitely right. We will be heading back soon for a margarita and a taco. The bean soup is also a must. Two enthusiastic thumbs up.

The tacos were amazing. I'm very picky when it comes to my meat, but I'd eat these again! The flavor was great, the meat was tender and there was no fat on the meat (which I appreciate) the guacamole was excellent. It gets a little crowded but the food was worth it!

A little off the beaten path - Very authentic, plastic plates/utensils, nothing fancy - A recommendation from a local Mexican taxi driver. Who knows, maybe his family owns/works there - but we were not disappointed. Not a place if you are looking for a fancy meal or people to serve you like butler service. Very relaxed casual atmosphere where you... More

Mostly locals here and the food is authentic and great and it won't break the bank. The margaritas were inexpensive - maybe around $7.50 for a large one and they were excellent. We had the pastor (pork) and it was tasty. We also tried the steak tacos and those were good too. All in all, it was a great experience.... More

Price worthy, friendly staff and GREAT! I suggest having, a "frijoles charros" little bean-soup as a starter, some nopales as a side, and a couple of tacos al pastor- with a michelada for an excellent time!

Visited the place in 2012 and 2013. Tasty food and good service at a good price! Mostly locals every time we were there. The first time I was there I had a sample of Frijoles charros and it was so delicious that I had to learn to cook it. The tacos al Pastor with cheese are really flavorful too.
