Hidden gem - if you go to Playa Del Carmen you must go there!!! These are the best tacos I have ever had. Try the "pastor" style - burst of flavor. The accepted USD here.

Love El Fogon! Cheap, cheerfull, fresh and delicious food. Certainly nothing fancy but a great spot for an authentic taste of the Yucatan. Third visit, will be back again:)

Have been there many times and definitely will go there again. The quesedillas are very good and they make the best Margaritas!

Shared a plate of alambres with some friends. Good service and atmosphere (the place was full as I think is the usual) Quality street food priced a bit higher in respect to the area, as can be said for the drinks as well.

Very authentic food and it was very good. There was a long line but the food is well worth the wait.

As others have mentioned, this place is popular enough that you might have to wait to get a table but it is worth it (also, turnover is quick so you isn't wait too long). The food is reasonably priced and tasty. My husband and I had a pastor taco each then shared one if the larger plates and it was... More

The restaurant was an outdoor restaurant with an open grill. We had queso, quesadillias, steak tacos, and fajitas. This was the best Mexican food I have ever had. Everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly. People were lined up to get in. Prices were more than reasonable and the food was plenty. This place was worth the cab ride.

Get away from 5th Avenue and easily have one of the best meals you will have in Playa del Carmen! We met friends here that speak the language much better than us, are seasoned and adventurous travelers in... More
