Honeymooners in LOVE with El Tapas!

Ate at El Tapas because of the reviews here. Not disappointed! Food was lovely and service friendly and thorough. Papas Bravas were to die for. And if youre sketched out by veggies, this place is for you. Hygienic and safe. Had cold veggie soup that was wonderful. Oh, and the chocolate truffles... read more

El Tapas deserves 5 stars for service. The service was top notch, professional, and friendly. The food was good but not outstanding. Also the "tapas" are full plates of food. 2-3 of the tapas is plenty for two people. Overall it was a great experience except for the pork medallions which were dry and flavorless.

Just eat there, eberico ham and cheese, shrimp aioli, bread with fresh crushed tomato, tried from our neighbors paella, all just wonderful, cold beer, relaxed atmosphere, a light breeze in the hot playa, downtowns, a must go, something good spanish in mexico, however the mexican omelette in the morning was to die for, very good

We read trip advisor and the reviews are accurate. Off the chaotic and busy avenida 5 this friendly and peaceful tapas restaurant was a haven of great food wine and service. We ordered five tapas and the tomato toastada bread. Too much. Four would have been plenty. Patatas bravado were superb. Fluffy light melt in your mouth potatoes perfectly cooked.... More

Probably the best tapas in Playa. Large portions, simply prepared. They don't have a large selection but 2-3 plates will probably fill you up in any event. Last year they relocated from a street off La Quinta to Calle 10 just across from the Town Hall. Wines are mainly Spanish and reasonably priced. It's certainly not fine dining, but does... More

My MIL is from Spain so I can tell you this is real Spanish food. The "croquetas" especially the spinach and seafood ones are great with the aoli. I'd recommend just going with the super friendly staff recommendations!

Ate here when we couldn't find another restaurant we were looking for. Food was very good and able to get a couple of glasses of red wine here. Those running the place took very good care of us and very friendly, even after we had 4 18-20 year old girls join us late. My wife loved the Gazpacho and orange... More

We didn't get the paella. Maybe this was a mistake, I'm still not 100% sure. Anyway, we got the Spanish Sausage, P.Bravas, Meatballs, and one other dish which I can't quite remember. Note to everyone, these are not Tapa's, these are full sized plates to share. My partner and I eat alot of Spanish food in the UK and can... More

Great service, good prices for a beach front restaurant in playa. There's a lot of seaweed on the beach now in playa and this place is in front of a relatively clean beach.

Great little Spanish restaurant off the main drag of 5th ave. Food is fresh, tasty and delicious. The seafood paella is amazing and so is the sangria! The service is super friendly and relaxed and it's reasonably priced. We will be going back before we leave Playa.
