I visited Playa del Carmen for the first time a couple of days ago and was amazed by the excellent service bring by the whole crew at Gautama! They made me feel like at home, their warmth and hospitality was one of the kind, food was great and I had the best mango mojitos ever! Thanks guys for everything!

While checking out a few beach bars/restaurant, we came across the Gautama. What a great find! The atmosphere & service was very good and we had a GREAT time! The bartender was very friendly and very accomodating to our group. The music was SO great! We will go back again when we visit Playa del Carmen.

The environment is very laid back, shorts are very acceptable, however, do not let that fool you the food is top quality. We spent the entire evening with yummy food, cold drinks, and making new friends. I would highly recommend this place to both locals and tourists alike.

this place is a strange mixture of asia and mexico. The atmosphere looks nice and the bartender very available. We had some margarithas and the dinner went on the road ! All we ate was pretty well, especially the rice and something like deep fried rolls. We enjoyed the night and the time we had in this sympathetic restaurant

It's situated opposite the little church in the square. The staff were friendly, service was good and the style of furniture and decor really nice; overall a relaxing place where we enjoyed early evening drinks.

The food is always excellent and very reasonably priced. A beautiful restaurant with a relaxed ambience, and the staff are always friendly and provide a great service. Thankyou Gautama!!!! We will be back soon :)

Visited in December. We found this restaurant/bar and could not fault it. The staff were fantastic and friendly. Great value for drinks - they always have a special offer on beer or cocktails. Food was delicious and good value for money. A great place to relax and spend a couple of hours or 6!
