We went back to La Exquisita today as we enjoyed it a lot back in March but arrived at Tortas Sian Ka'an instead. Is this their new name and concept? Cochinita pibil torta was not quite as tasty as we remembered and there weren't any tacos offered anymore, but the sopa de lima was really good.

Bit late with this, we visited in October 2012 and never got round to writing a review. However, after all these months still craving more of their delicious food we just had to write something! Go here, try everything on the menu! We tried it all and loved every mouthful - it will be one of our first stops on... More

This is a tiny restaurant on 38th just off Fifth Avenue. They serve delicious and different tacos and burritos. The service was very attentive and informative, which made the experience a cultural lesson as well as a great meal. The price is very reasonable. You must try the homemade flavored waters. They serve no liquor, but are right next to... More

One of the pleasures of traveling is to stumble across great eateries and this was definitely the case for us with La Exquisita de la 38!! My wife, two kids and I loved the food here. Very reasonably priced as it is just off the main tourist traps. Highly recommended!!

This restaurant is 20 feet off of 5th avenue so no tourists come here, but they serve amazing tacos and tortas in the traditional Yucatan style. Worth checking out if you're in the area

How could they do this...and why??? I took a friend to La Exquisita this week as I was raving about their burritos. When we ordered we were told that they no longer make them. BIG MISTAKE! I will only return if they put them back on the menu. Without the burritos this restaurant is only average.

Very simple food that mostly involves 3 ingredients with not much oomph or taste. The food was not terrible but was not super tasty either. Portions are very small so it may sound like they are good deals but they are not. The drinks are good but not cheap either e.g. 25 pesos for a small bottled orchata is not... More

We went for dinner one evening, and were very impressed with the obvious love the owners have for their menu. We tried each of the taco's as well as a burrito (which was a special that evening). Each was delicious in a different way, and the prices were great. Also we tried the Horchata which we found delicious. We'll be... More

The dishes are covered by plastic bags so they don't have to wash them- instead they change the plastic bags Nuff said

My mom and I stopped here one afternoon, after I read so many wonderful things about La Exquisita. I agree that the staff was very helpful and the food was very good. I also like that it's towards the North end of the "strip", because that's where we stay and it's nice not having to walk too far to find... More
