I had the opportunity of attendance twice in my last trip to Playa, and I can say that the food and the service are excellent. I highly recommend the Soft Steak with Rosemary Potatoes and the egg en cocotte with foie. The service and chefs are great and really kind. The kitchen smell is delicious... I'm waitin to go back... This might have been the worst dining experience on our trip to Playa. I was served cheap wine that tasted like it had been opened for a couple of days. When our entrees arrived, the order was completely screwed up. The food is o.k. but not up to French standards. I did not see any French people working in the... More

We enjoyed a lovely evening at Cocotte Cita this past weekend. After a warm welcome from the owner and our server we settled in on the tropical patio with a cocktail while perusing the chalkboard menu and enjoying an amuse bouche. We decided on the Cold Spinach Soup, Egg in cocotte with foie, Escargot, Duck Confit, and Filet Mignon. Everything... More

This is an excellent place! A real French restaurant just off 5th Avenue. My fish was delicious fresh and local, seasoned with herbs they grow on site. The wine list was clearly carefully chosen to pair with the menu. The staff were expert in the kind of relaxed French table service that made us feel at home for a long... More

My wife, our daughter (12) and I dined at Cocotte Cita a couple of nights ago and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We did quite a bit of research on tripadvisor before our trip and chose Cocotte based on the number of excellent reviews. They didn't lie! The restaurant is located on a quiet street, about... More

Given that so many restaurants open and close in Playa, it says a lot that Cocotte Cita is still open 2 years later. It is still the best (and only) French restaurant in town. The menu doesn't change very much, but all of the ingredients are fresh and simply prepared. The terrine appetizer/starter is enough for two people to share.... More

We heard raves from friends so were disappointed with the very average food. Service was ok, but one of our party of 6 was not served until most others were half done and another had an order really botched, so needed to send it back. Place is attractive, the owner is friendly and tries to be accommodating. I might give... More
