Great food!

we were staying at Gran Porto Real, but had access to the Royal so we took advantage of it. Asiana was great, I am a sushi nut so I was really happy, great selection, hot sake was super hot which was nice. Lobster was great, hubby had surf and turf and red snapper and tempura, which were all... read more

If there is one place you MUST dine at while in Playa del Carmen, it is, hands down, Asiana! My husband and I went deep sea fishing and brought our fish that we caught back to Asiana. We were happily greater by Captain Mario at the door who took care of us the minute we entered. Chef Jair came out... More

Our favorite restaurant at The Royal with the most flavors.... Ask for Boreli, he will make sure you have the best dining experience... We enjoyed chicken & beef satay (we used our green curry sauce), veggie curry, lamb chops, chicken curry, beef salad, veggie salad, all of the desserts... Fried ice cream seemed popular...

While at the Royal Playa del Carmen with my family of 5 we mostly ate at Spice and were satisfied with the food. But then one evening we decided to try Restaurante Asiana. It was one of the best decisions we made, in fact we went back! We were kindly greeted by our hostess Perla, and treated like royalty by... More

The Asiana restaurant should be shutdown by US standards, unfortunately we are not in the US. The food was horrible, the service was horrible, the food safety standards that we witnessed we that of a third world country.

We sat upstairs on our first visit (evening) and it was a little fancier (white table cloths) and better service. The only complaint is we had to change tables due to an over aggressive airconditioner, who cares (well now you know). The succhi came and was great. We ordered too little the first time. Tried the tempura and it was... More

My husband and I ate here a few times this trip as there are so many things we wanted to try! The sushi was good as are the spring rolls (love the sauce!) we have had the beef and broccoli... Little spicy!, the shrimp in green curry and the mixed tepenyaki. All so good! It's hard to try something new... More

As I was staying at the Royal resort, it's hard for me to judge the value. However the food was very delicious, the sushi and sashimi were excellent and definitely was a surprise. I also had the chicken teriyaki, which was decent (not amazing) and a very generous portion of food. If you're on the resort, definitely worth checking out.... More
