My husband and I were looking for a place to spend a special evening and eat delicious meat. We read the reviews about this restaurant and decided to go. We did the right thing! We were greeted as if we were kings. The waiter was incredibly accommodating and everyone was friendly to us. We were just incredibly impressed we felt... More

........ It is unfortunately closed now. Hope it reopens soon! We had some great steaks at very reasonable prices when we were last in Playa Del Carmen and were hoping to visit again this holiday. Shame!

Excellent meal - great atmosphere (thnx Mario) - free glass of wine & if your up to it a free tequila shot (just ask). The surf & turf was excellent - price point is not cheap by local Mexican standards (10th or 30th ave) but its 5th ave - enough said!

My wife and I unfortunately only went two times to this restaurant. The first night we chose for super nice giant shrimps (each six instead of five!) and the taste was fantastic. The second night we had real superb steak. Super friendly waiters in a very good restaurant with very reasonable prices. Absolutely worth a visit or two, three, four... More

I got the breaded flat stake. I should not have. Immediately I felt it was not tasting too good, and I kept eating till 3 quarters (the size of the steak was large, unfortunately). Now it's 2 am and I woke up with cold sweat, indigestion. And I usually do not have digestion problems for almost anything. The price was... More

Do not let the lack of crowds at Cantegrill persuade you to pass it by, the food and service is worth the money! Start to finish, this is a place that I highly recommend.

We stumbled on this place as we were walking down 5th avenue. Don't be put off by my average score. I had steak and it was scrummy. We also had chicken fajitas and they were bland and mediocre. Maybe we make them tastier in London but these were disappointing. The staff were very friendly and for that alone you should... More

A Well served and tasty meal. For sure the Make a Big deal out of serving and the actual food how it presents itself. This is done without overdoing it. A lovely meal and Can only reccomend this. The Price is average Playa prices slightly in the higher end but its worth it.

Based on reviews, we ate here and were disappointed. Nothing was fabulous as previous reviews indicate, and the restaurant was basically empty. Nothing we ate or what we saw being served, looked remotely like the posted pictures. Not sure if the reviews we read are legitimate or posted by management and their friends. You can find better restaurants in Playa... More
