We were looking for a hockey fix - this is the place! The plan was to have 1 beer and head home. Definitely not the case - it is far too easy to get comfortable and not leave. Dominique took good care of us and kept the frosty ones flowing. One of the best buys for buckets of beer and... More

I was fortunate enough to be at this bar while the Canadiens were in the playoffs this past May. I never thought I would experience something like that in Mexico! I very fortunately stumbled across this gem one night while exploring off the main 5th avenue. The staff are wonderful and accommodating. The food (especially the poutine) was great. The... More

If you're not planning on having a good time, don't go to Los Tabernacos. Find the owner, Danny, and tell him you want to have fun. And you will. The staff is amazing, beautiful women from all over the world. You'll want to have the poutine and a few drinks. Plan on staying for a few hours. Particularly nice when... More

Positives: owner's enthusiasm, hockey, cheap mayan beer buckets. Negatives: food selection, seating arrangements (hard to actually have a group watch hockey). Need a broader menu - more Canadian flare!

Great, Friendly service in a comfortable atmosphere. Poutine I had been craving since leaving Canada did not disappoint. Slider burgers on the mixed plate were gobbled up by my three year old. Affordably priced and nice to be just off 5th ave away from the crazy. Food took a while to arrive, but the delicious Caesar kept my appetite at... More

I read a review of this place and had the name in the back of my mind. I managed to find it when walking around Playa. Good prices for beer, and the poutine was awesome! Daniel the host was very nice and shared a tequila shooter with us. I made the point to go back for the Jean Beliveau tribute... More

I am being kind giving this place 4 stars but the service was excellent, the owners were lovely, the wings were great but the poutine let it down. No melting cheese just lumps. Good gravy and fries but they need to use a different cheese. Great to watch a hockey game. Will go back again.

awesome bar right by 12th Ave but not too close, great place to go have a couple drinks before hitting the clubs. Owner and workers were a blast to hang out with. This bar is especially great if you happen to be a fan of the Montreal Canadians or hockey at all... lol

My husband loves hockey so we had to stop in one night. We had so much fun we went again on game day. Nothing is more fun than hanging out with people who love the game of hockey and love Montreal. The people were so welcoming, we felt right at home. I was even pulled into a conga line around... More
