Pay in Pesos not US $

Great atmosphere and a fantastic way to enjoy the Habs. Had a terrific time with our friends. The staff members and owner Daniel are out-going and really make you welcome. Good pub food but be sure to bring lots of pesos. It's cash only and the exchange rate if you pay in US $ is outrageous. And... read more

As Québec (Canadian province) is that close to Playa del Carmen, no wonder some people found business opportunities in Mexico. This is by far your best bet to experience traditional food from Québec: the famous poutine and the ambiance of Montreal Candian NHL hockey team fans at it's best. Nothing can describe it better than to attend this restaurant while... More

Beautiful atmosphere in the heart of "Quinta Avenida" - as a Montrealer - we all love the Habs and this is THE PLACE to catch a game while enjoying drinks and food. I went by late at night and met Daniel who is the owner - lovely person - offered us drinks and we had great conversation about the "tabernacos"... More

Great place to stop for a beer and catch NHL hockey while in Mexico. Fabulous atmosphere! Chicken wings, poutine, all kinds of great Canadian food. The bar has a lot of Montreal Canadien memorabilia which my husband, a real Canadiens fan, enjoyed. The staff were attentive and very friendly - made us feel right at home. There is not a... More

My fiance and I love Los tabernacos. We are Canadian and he's a Montreal Canadiens fan, so it's a must visit bar! The food is good, although usually quite slow (who cares, you're in Mexico!), the beers are cheap, and the big projector screen will have hockey on if it's playing. We went to watch a Montreal game last time... More

The place is great! We went there to watch the Superbowl and we had a wonderful time! We could even reserve our places in advance too. The service is impeccable and the owner makes you feel at home! The have a nice selection of cocktails and tequilas and the Club sandwich is just fabulous, so has the poutine! We will... More

A MUST see for Habs fans (Montréal Canadiens hockey). Thanks to the owner, Daniel and Manager, Bob Le Pompier, for an outstanding experience. Watching hockey down South has never felt more like home than at the Los Tabernacos along with an excellent Poutine! See you next time guys! Tip: The place is small and jam packed on game nights. It... More

Absolutely the most Canadian club sandwich we've had in Mexico! The bacon was done perfectly, and the bread nice and toasty! Total comfort food in this little place on 1st ave, next to our favorite bar. Had the burger and the croque monsieur as well, both were fabulous. Big screen hockey, Montreal canadien's paraphernalia everywhere, cold beer, all great. First... More

English: 3 friends and I had the pleasure of staying in Playa del Carmen for a week. We were looking forward to spending most of our time at Los Tabarnacos. Let me tell you, we were treated like royalty and my expectations were beyond exceded. We felt at home, and I guess the tequila made us stay even longer. The... More

We were looking for a hockey fix - this is the place! The plan was to have 1 beer and head home. Definitely not the case - it is far too easy to get comfortable and not leave. Dominique took good care of us and kept the frosty ones flowing. One of the best buys for buckets of beer and... More
