We return year after year and the quality of the food, beverages, staff remains the same. Perfect! Very cosy, friendly, quality drinks and tapas. we often order 3 tapas and can never finish what we ordered but always do because they are yummy and tasty. We tend to stroll in this direction on Mondays to usually find many places closed like Sala Rosa. Luckily we managed to get there before Monday hits this time, and were positively surprised. It really is as good as its reputation: excellent service, food quality & quantity and ambience. Not even 400M$ we paid for a jar of Sangria (second... More

I've only just left the place but felt I had to review immediately. Outstanding doesn't do it justice. So reasonably priced and top top quality too. Grilled cheese, chorizo, pulled pork and fish cakes plus a few beers was a touch over 400 pesos! And honestly there was too much for the two of us, but felt we had to... More

La Sala Rosa is a terrific alternative to the creepy banality of touristy Playa. Real people, good booze (with a smart emphasis on delicious Mezcal!), good food, and a tranquil vibe. There's a reason why this place has a loyal clientele of locals and expats. Worth your attention.

My girl friend and I found Sala Rosa one night during our stay and automatically fell in love. The music they were playing, the food and drinks they served, and the overall atmosphere was the best treatment we found in Playa! Free spirited place to say the least :)

We stumbled upon Sala Rosa when our first choice eatery of the evening was closed. Wow, are we glad we did! We were promptly seated on an attractive outdoor patio. The waiter quickly took our drinks order and despite the intriguing wine choices, we opted for a Mojito and a Margarita. Both were superb and as I recall very reasonably... More

I love everything about this little diamond! Everyone is friendly (staff & patrons) the margarita's & food are a must - do the mushroom tapas! There is either great live music several times or edgy & unique music being dj'd. It is clean & full of quaint style right up to the lit up roses hanging in the trees:))) Also,... More

Sala Rosa is a nice place to go and have a drink at night. We didn't eat but had a few drinks. Great choice of tequilas! Sometimes, you can enjoy the music from a DJ. The place is well kept by two sisters and the place has a great atmosphere! We will certainly come back!

A gem of a bar on 38th near 5th Avenue. Great mix of people of all of ages, excellent music, great vibe, tapas and of course drinks. Staff is super friendly, mixed drinks are 1-1/2 ounces and the tapas selection is fresh and delicious. There was live entertainment when we were there and the place was buzzing. Love the patio... At the north end of Playa Del Carmen and on the tree lined street of 38th sits a cute little bar called Sala Rosa. This place is great because all the staff is friendly and bilingual, they serve top shelf alcohol and strong drinks, and they have nice food on the tapas menu. I have gone several times and enjoyed... More
