At the north end of Playa Del Carmen and on the tree lined street of 38th sits a cute little bar called Sala Rosa. This place is great because all the staff is friendly and bilingual, they serve top shelf alcohol and strong drinks, and they have nice food on the tapas menu. I have gone several times and enjoyed... More

After many walk pasts with and always thinking we need to stop here....we finally did. Sitting outdoors with a glass of wine and a tapas plate of mixed cheeses, olives, hams and salamis was a most pleasant way to spend the end of a day, Selection of wine was fine and not overly priced. Music was definitely background music and... More

It is small, charming, good music, good food, great staff, lovely owners (two lovely French Canadian sisters) - just has a good vibe!!! After living here for 13 years full time, it is my personal favorite place in town. Sala Rosa always has a wide variety or nationalities hanging out. It feels welcoming to all types and ages. It is... More

The beautiful and friendly owners (they are sisters) are always there to greet patrons and make sure your visit will be pleasant. Great drinks, funky music, an eclectic clientele, unique decor and a great food menu--they offer the best bar food I've had. This place keeps improving all the time. Well done!

38th ave is my favorite avenue in all playa so far. Friendliest place with amazing people with good service. My favorite spot is outside bench on the patio. Perfect place to enjoy a nice breeze along with people watching while eating and enjoying drinks. great view. I sometimes find people passing by and taking pictures of this place from the... More

This is by far my most favorite local haunt of Playa! I lived in Playa for nearly a year and frequented this charming outdoor hotspot. Off of the beaten path of 12th street bars and clubs, the ambience can't be beat, the sangria will liven your soul, the DJs will keep you energized but are not overly loud that you... More

Sometimes when your travelling you come across places that you never want to leave. We came across Sala Rosa randomly on one of our nightly walks on quinta avenida. It really is the coolest little spot we have found in playa and we returned almost every night. tucked away from the bustling quinta, it seems to be a favorite spot... More

I’ve lived in Playa for over 3 years now. There are hundreds of places to drink and eat in this town, but none like Sala Rosa—small bar-lounge atmosphere, with a great patio overlooking one of the prettier streets without the bustle and heckling of most 5th Ave places. It feels like a real bar, maybe a city bar, and not... More
