The food was not that bad, it just was not that good. It may be that I am a meat man. The meat portions were low on the traditional Venezuelan meals we ordered. No beer at any place in Playa del Carmen is a bust as well. Staff was very nice and service was good. Just not a place to... More

We never had venezuelian food before and we were really suprised! The servings are quite big so its a great value for money. Our waitress was super friendly and we enjoyed some delicious venezuelian juice. Everyone should try!

I have never had venizualian food before and wanted to try it so we went for dinner one night! One word; DELICIOUS! I had the rice cake stuffed with chicken and it was soooo good. I wish I could have another one! Service was AMAZING! The fresh juice was delicious! I will be back!! :)

This Venezuelan spot is definitely one to check out when visiting Playa. Not only is the service amazing but the food is delicious! While they are famous for their main dish cachapas I would highly recommend to also eat the arepas. Mr Jose Ramon will surely make you feel at home! I left playa with a new friend

I read the great reviews on this restaurant and we decided to go there. I've had a hard time finding good food here in playa! Our hotel restaurant (cielio) and this great Venezuelan restaurant. Just like they say the daughter serves and she is a great host, the father is fantastic at hosting as well. The food was all very... More

I am glad it was off 5th Ave, so away from the packed streets and slightly pushy vendors. The owner came by our table and gave us samples of all their specialty (Central American, South American non-alcoholic) drinks. Our waiter and the owner were very talkative in a good way, welcoming, and friendly. The food that my wife and ordered... More

And that's saying something. I suggest trying the kaxapa (Cachapa)! The owner--Jose (?)--is an incredibly charming man who greets each table and even remembered our orders from our first visit. Could be because we dined with locals but, either way, this place is a must visit if in Playa Del Carmen.

This place was awesome. Great food, excellent, friendly service, at a fair price. I will eat here every time I come! The owner is such a kind, friendly man!

It may not be in the best area of Playa del Carmen or the most glamorous place but it has delicious food in a cute appropriate place. I'm Venezuelan and live in California, we don't have a place like that there, it was like being in Venezuela. Family run business, the Mom makes the food, the Dad the incredible juices... More
