This Venezuelan restaurant is a real gem in Playa del Carmen. Four of us were there in early December, 2014. The food is incredibly tasty. The host was so kind and friendly. She tirelessly explained to us the flavors and traits of Venezuelan food since this is our first time. We had entries, drinks all for a very low and... More

We were looking for a good meal at an affordable price in Playa del Carmen, almost an impossible mission... But we did it! Food is delicious and the waiter is really nice and helpful: he brought us 4 different types of drinks to taste before choosing and explained us the venezuelan menu, so that we could make the right choice.... Jose and his family are the best. Very friendly and very professional, their food as mentioned by others fantastic. Exotic drinks including my favorite Venezuelan homemade lemonade. I loved the taste, so original. The corn cake desert is also a must, in fact just try the whole menu, you really can not go wrong in my opinion.

The food here is top notch. Pretty much everything is gluten free, and there are many vegetarian options (but plenty for meat eaters too). We ate until we were beyond full, and the prices are very reasonable. Hi quality food with excellent flavors, at the right prices. Don't miss this spot. This restaurant is small and tucked off the beaten... More

I found this restaurant through Tripadvisor, and stopped in with my father for a lite lunch and take-out for dinner. José Ramón, the owner, greeted us and once I shared that I was born in Venezuela he put on more typical Venezuelan music! The food was delicious, the service could not have been friendlier, and the prices are extremely fair.... More

We stumbled into this restaurant around lunchtime and are very glad we did! This was our first experience with Venezuelan food and the dishes were excellent. Very filling and inexpensive. Unique flavors. Very friendly owner and extended family. We'll be back next time we're in Playa.

We were walking by and stopped the read the menu. The owner was very friendly came out to talk to us and we decided to try it out. He gave us samples of all the non-alcoholic beverages. We tried a mini version of the filled pancake and it was delicious. We will return again.

We went here after reading the TA reviews. We had the kind and of service you hope for but rarely get. The food was very good and it was the first time and in a while I've had something new. The flavors are unique and the value is tremendous. I highly recommend stopping by to see Jose Ramon, you'll be... More

What an amazing place and a wonderful owner! We stopped here for breakfast and the owner greeted us with some of his wonderful juice samples. They even sang my fiancé a venizualian birthday song! You have to try the kaxapa and epenadas!
