I'm back home & craving the food I had here

You MUST go here while you are in PDC. The food is great; I am seriously craving it now that I'm back home (and can't easily have it!). The location was a little ways off from the main tourist area (5th Avenue), but in easy (and safe) walking distance. The staff was great at this restaurant - they... read more

Recommended by the person renting his condo for the week and then we also checked into the ranking here before going. Walked down to the place and some how completely missed it the first day. After seeing more reviews on here for that day, we decided to go back and find it for lunch. What a great little place. My... More

This was our first taste of Venezuelain cuisine and we weren't disappointed. But what makes this place is the service. We were looked after amazingly and had lots of lovely tasters and info about what to order.

Can't remember what I tried but I came here twice during my 2 wk stay in PDC which was actually Aug 2012. Friendly family run / owned business. I felt like it was a long wait but it was all fresh prepared in a small kitchen so was happy to wait when the food came out.

Looked up restaurants in playa del Carmen and so glad we found Kaxapa Factory. Amazing food and the manager is such a lovely man! Very welcoming and fully explained the Venezuelan food/origins to us. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! Wish we had had time to go a second time during our stay! Thank you Kaxapa Factory!

We tried KAXAPA FACTORY for the first time years ago, on our first visit to Playa. We stayed in the hotel REINA ROJA, which was only a small block or two away, we must have eaten at KEXAPA at least 3 times. If it was up to me we would have eaten there everyday, but we wanted to try all... More

A group of 10 of us came here for a late lunch. This place is small but the owner was able to easily accommodate us. He was so kind and attentive. He said he was practicing his English and tried through much of our meal to communicate in that way. He took time to go through the menu to explain... More

They have the most delicious flavors! We had two appetizers which came with a set of sauces: cilantro, sour cream/black pepper, and mayo/ketchup, which were soooo delicious with the cheesy corn balls and cheese sticks (I don't recall the Venezuelan names). My husband also had an empanada. I had the vegetarian arepa and my husband had the cachaca. Both were... More
