Authentic Indian Food in the Continent

Take it from an Indian when eating Indian. Spice is your thing go for the spiciest option. If you cannot handle spice then ask them to customize accordingly. The spices are all authentic hand grown by the owners Harish & his wife Claudia. I was in Playa Del Carmen for 5 days and my Dinner for 5... read more

Who,would have thought I would travel from Texas to Playa del Carmen to have excellent Indian food. Harish and Claudia are wonderful and make you feel, right at home. Do not not miss this gem of a restaurant while you are in town. Oh yeah, great wines as well.

We had a wonderful dinner at Curry Omm. The food was great and the owner and his wife were very kind and charming. A nice location, with inside or outside dining. It is near the entrance to Playacar 1 on Avenida 10, just north of Benito Jaurez. Highly recommended.

I've traveled in Playa 30 times in 13 years and have a set list of "must visit" restaurants but I had never come across Curry Ohm. It is down south of Juarez in the shopping area usually frequented by cruise ship folks, whom I try to avoid! I have to say that I'm glad I found it because it was... More

Harish and Claudia are beautiful people. The food and drink are absolutely incredible. Ever since my first visit here I compare every Indian restaurant I go to across the globe to Curry Omm. Curry Omm holds strong to #1 in my book. By far the best part of Playa Del Carmen as well. Thank you both so much for making... More

We wandered into this Indian restaurant without having read any reviews. It is in a little hole in the wall location which was frequently closed when we walked by so we had no expectations. Turned out to be among our more memorable Indian food experiences! It is a retirement enterprise for the owners, Harish and Claudia. Harish is charming and... More

My wife and I spent the month of February in Playa del Carmen. On the 2nd day, we discover Curry Omm, and, since Indian food is our favorite (which we cannot get in Ecuador) we went straight in and were met by Harish. What a wonderful man. Harish is the waiter and his wife Claudia is the chef. Quite the... More

Harish, the owner, a generous man takes good care of his customers. The apetizers Chicken tikka was awesome. Even my toddler could eat that masala chicken since it was not spicy at all. The main food was not that excellent. Just okay to fulfill our craving for India food being away from home. They also have Indian Tea at the end of... More
