This place was delicious. They had some of the best ceviche we have ever had! Great spot! Our waiter was very friendly and helpful and had great happy hour drinks!

We love Playa del Carmen and spend a month here every year. This year we were introduced to this restaurant by a couple that live 6 months of the year in Playa and have tried them all. We had an amazing dinner that night and have been back several times. I would recommend "The catch of the day, with a... More

My partner and I have spent a month in Playa for the last 5 years. Several friends join us during this time. One of our favorite restaurants is Pachamama. The food is varied and tasty and the menu is not so large that it is difficult to make decisions as to what to choose. One of my favorites is risotto... More

My partner & I ate at this restaurant last night - it was definitely worth the walk up 5th to between 38th & 40th. We sat at a table out front to enjoy the people-watching. The server brought us these little breads with pesto dip & butter with chilies - we dove right in because we hadn't eaten all day!... More

Was for us the best place to eat in playa, stylish restaurant, location a bit off the main stretch so not only tourists but also locals, great hosts with excellent english, salmon perfectly cooked -still moist, glad that I also ordered a dessert (yumm..), also seems to be a place for cute people (at least when we visited), we will... When my family first encountered Pachamama, we were intrigued by the delicious sounding menu and reasonable prices, but we hesitated because it had not been recommended to us and the openair restaurant was completely empty -- a stark contrast to the bustling restaurant next door. Fearing the unknown, we kept walking. 24 hours later, hungry and not eager to trek... More

Best meal of our trip by far. The ingredients were fresh and the plates were very creative for a modest price! I recommend eating here to anyone who visits playa. Great ambiance in a quieter part of the quinta avenida. The chocolate desert is to die for. Very cool and friendly staff.

My wife and I, along with some long-time friends, visited Pachamama last year and fell in love with the place. When we came home we tried to post a review here, but they weren't listed on TripAdvisor yet... so glad to see they are posted now! We eat everywhere we can in Playa (from taco stands and places outside of... More

At the suggestion of a friend - Cristian from Dive Balam - my family visited Pachamama for supper. The food was phenomenal, so fresh and wonderful flavors, definitely one of our new favorites. The decor of the restaurant is beautiful, rustic and romantic, open air seating with candles to light the tables. My 88 year old grandpa had the fresh... More
