On 5th, great place to watch people walk by.

Food good if you love mexican traditional food and reasonably priced. Service was friendly and depending upon how crowed prompt.

My dad and I were having a beer and we asked the bartender for the best authentic mexican food. She immediately refered us to Mi Pueblo. We walked down 5th ave and were seated. We had a FANTASTIC server, Miguel. He was funny, and gave us great service. We ordered their signature dish and it was absolutely great. We were... More

Gross. My fiancé and I were lured in by the very personable host, and offered a free order of guacamole. The experience went way downhill from there. The guacamole was bland, and the tortilla chips were store-bought, which I have never encountered in the Riviera Maya. The two salsas just tasted off. Even our bottle of Pinot Grigio was of... More

Had a disappoint meal here with my husband. I ordered a vegetarian starter and main but both my meals were sickly and not that great. I ended up leaving half my meal even though I was hungry. Something I rarely do. My husband had steak and he said it was a very cheap cut but cooked well, which was its... More

I'm not sure why this restaurant isn't ranked higher. It is in the middle of the ultra-touristy 5th Avenida, but the food IS good. I got the tacos. its was hearty portion. the shrimp was cooked just right, great seasoning and flavor. It was delicious, I really do recommend. In addition, the service was great. At night there is a... More

This place is in a prominent position on 5th Avenue and was packed out on the night we visited, we even had to queue to secure a table. However, in my opinion, I don’t see what the fuss is about as the food, and the menu in general, was nothing to write home about. Once seated you will be rushed... More

I went to mi pueblo on spring break, one of the best arrachera I have ever eaten, also they have outstanding service. If I ever go back to playa del carmen, I would go to mi pueblo.

Food was fairly tasty but watch for the tequila upsell - I didn't realize it but we got upsold into ~12 USD margaritas! No thanks. They weren't even that good. Nowhere else in town are they swindling like that. I will not go back.

Came here for lunch on recommendation of others. It is located at far end of the main street and I believe it was the Fifth Avenue, about 10 minutes walk from the ferry. Although located further away form the busiest area, it is still a very busy area. Many customers there and the waiters look busy all the time. It... More
