Four of us arrived for dinner and the manager greeted us with a warm smile and a few jokes. He quickly cleared a table and sat us. The food selection was very good as two people in our group are very picky. I could not decide so the waiter helped me by convincing me to order a molcahete (spelling?). It... More

We found the food here to be very average, no real flavour and wouldn't go back. The free tortilla chips and the guacamole were worse than I can get from Sainsburys in the UK. Having said that the atmosphere was good. They added 15% service which I queried and they said we could pay whatever we liked, so we paid... More

Dear ajs245, thank you for you review on our restaurant. We have passed your comments to the chef to improve where we need to improve. We are happy you enjoyed the atmosphere and as the waiter mentioned, tip is suggested but is always the client´s choice. Warm regards from sunny Mexico. More

Nothing fancy, but reasonably solid food at decent prices. Ate here twice. Tried same dishes each time to see about consistency. Consistency high. Shrimp tacos were good, shrimp fresh. Chile relleno stuffed with pieces of braised rib steak. Good texture, good flavor, with good guacamole and mole on the side. Sit outside, watch the usual crowds go by. Taken for... More

While visiting Mexico last week my girlfriend and I spent the day in Playa del Carmen and made our way to 5th Avenue for some shopping. After a while the sky opened up and the rain came down in buckets. Luckily we were right next to Mi Pueblo and we ducked inside for a drink and some lunch. The restaurant... More

Good food and service. Loved being right on the street. As with most places, some dishes are superior to others. Our son and daughter-in-law ate there a separate time and one loved their dish and the other--not so much. The coconut shrimp was a bit "bready" and no sauce was served with it although sauce was in the dish.

Stopped and ate here today because it was the nearest restaurant and we were too tired to keep walking. Food was fine, nothing special. The chicken taco's were surprisingly small and plain, the Mexican hamburger was a decent size. The mojitos were a good size too but a little sweet. After reading all the other reviews on TA I'm kicking... More

My wife and I ate here for dinner one night and thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening. The food was consistently good from starter through to desert and we ended our evening with a couple of tequilas.... All of the staff were very welcoming and we're having fun with all the customers... There were the usual strolling Mexican bands walking up... More

We ate here for lunch our second day in Mexico. I had shrimp tacos - which were very good. The hot salsa was muy caliente - but I liked it. The shrimp seemed grilled and very good. It was served with a corn tortilla - I prefer flour -but still enjoyed it.
