As someone who specializes in the restaurant business, i sometimes find myself being extremely picky and ultra aware of atmosphere, food quality, and flow of service. I have to say that I am extremely impressed with my experience at papa charly's. The room is open and cozy. Modest amount of tables with great dining music. Any stress is completely hidden... More

We had dinner here for the first time the other night and couldn't have enjoyed it more. The setting is nicely rustic, service friendly, and the pasta...ohlala! The canneloni is enough for two (so we brought home half), and the ravioli is the perfect size for one. Prices were very reasonable, bread was delicious (though we would have preferred whole... The place is cozzy, the atmosphere very familiar but what it is fantastic of that all are the cannelloni, specially when they are flambé. I came back twice in my two week-staying. The sealed eggs where delicious too, though not that much the ravioli filled with walnut. The rest me and my family agreed was great! Can totally recommend it.

located close to the residential area in Playa del Carmen, this is a place you have to try if you like local ingredients and homemade pasta... Charly is the friendly owner and he's always there to give that personal touch that matters... The Lasagna was outstanding!

The restaurant was practically empty and we liked that. I ordered gnocchi and my boyfriend ordered pasta - nothing special. We were going to leave and the waiter offered to order dessert and we agreed. These were magnificent pancakes with sweetened condensed milk and ice cream - definitely recommend it!!

Stumbled upon this place looking for somewhere else for dinner. The Gnocchi was amazing and definitely worth a try. Was rather quiet when we went (mid-week) so the atmosphere was a bit flat, but the food made up for it.

My husband and I have been going to Playa Del Carmen 2 to 3 times a year for the last 6 years, we found PapaCharly Pastas the 1st year which it was then called Util Pasta, the food is excellent. The service is incredible, we are treated like family. We have yet to have a meal that was not extra... More

Our server (who may be the owner, I'm not sure) said the above when complimented on the amazing meals and it is so true! This was without a doubt the best Italian meal I have ever had. From the atmosphere to the food to the great prices, everyone should eat here! The portion sizes are large so the four of... More
