We loved this place! The pasta is hand made and the food is delicious. The portions are very good.So we came here twice. Definetly worth going there! Only critique- the staff could smile a little more :)

we attended with group of 10 . Of that 2 did not even get their meals. Service is way off from the past. The meals we did get where fine and lot of complements but how do you not notice two people with no food. That eventually took one of the orders home as the rest of the party had... More

One of the best lunches I've had in Playa, and we've been here almost all winter, the food is delicious and the price is even better, we enjoyed a 3 course lunch with an agua fresca included, for 75 pesos each ( it varies from 75-90 pesos). The food is excellent and the ingredients are fresh and wholesome. My starter... More

This is a small place off the beaten trail but to those who find it the food is ECELLENT. and a great value. Everything is fresh made and more than you can eat. My wife had the lasagna and it was more than just really good. It is a small place so do not miss out

PapaCharly was situated opposite to our flat so finally we had to visit it. It`s a cosy place with a few tables and nice atmosphere. Firstly I came there for a lunch. I`ve ordered a chicken in a white wine sauce and watermelon juice. Tasty meal and plate was looking great so I knew I have to come back with... More

We were thrilled to find that PapaCharly had reopened after finding the former location of Util closed down last year. The family has done a fine job carrying on Papa Charly's tradition, and it is still welcoming, warm and wonderful. The new decor is much more comfortable, and it is great place to sit back and enjoy a meal. This... More

Ordered a salmon ravioli. Portion size was enough for one, not large as reported below, and the texture of the pasta is a bit breadth/spongy without the al dente firmness that well made handmade pasta has. Have eaten at several excellent Italian run pasta restaurants in the past and I'm afraid I missed why this place is so hyped up...... More

As someone who specializes in the restaurant business, i sometimes find myself being extremely picky and ultra aware of atmosphere, food quality, and flow of service. I have to say that I am extremely impressed with my experience at papa charly's. The room is open and cozy. Modest amount of tables with great dining music. Any stress is completely hidden... More

We had dinner here for the first time the other night and couldn't have enjoyed it more. The setting is nicely rustic, service friendly, and the pasta...ohlala! The canneloni is enough for two (so we brought home half), and the ravioli is the perfect size for one. Prices were very reasonable, bread was delicious (though we would have preferred whole...
