My husband (who is from Spain) and I love this restaurant and were very disappointed to find it closed when we visited in April 2013. We just found out that the owner, Miguel, has opened a new place called Casa Miguel and it is located on 10th Avenue at the Plaza Paradise which is near the entrance to Playacar. We... More

We stayed in Playa for 15 nights and ate at this restaurant at least 5 times. It has a great quiet location just off the busy 5th avenue. Each day they feature a special where you get your choice of soup or salad (the salad came on a large dinner plate!), main course (anything from shrimp and rice to a... More

We stumbled upon this little restaurant by chance and are happy we did. The seafood is absolutely excellent, the atmosphere cozy and relaxed, the owner walks among the tables and talks with you in 3-4 languages and service is great. Prices are very decent. It has the feel of a neighbourhood restaurant where you think you know everybody and the... More

We love paella and stopped by Saturday because I thought they had paella as a black board special on Saturdays. We had the paella on the menu as a take out last year and was not impressed, but wanted to give it another try. Well, paella is a special on Thursdays so we went last night, Thursday. They served tortilla... More

We ate here last year, and I could not wait to return this vacation. The restaurant has moved 1 store over, so it is a bit larger, but not by much. If you are looking for the real deal on Spanish (not Mexican) cuisine, this restaurant is for you! The only caveat, the owners and staff DO NOT speak English.... More

Don't get fooled by the location and humble aspect ;) as the chef is actually a winner of La Fourchette d'Or from his back days in Paris! Baseline: if you like home made spanish cuisine then this is your place! I had el pulpo. Loved it!

Ate here many times during my 6 week stay in Playa. Usually had the daily specials. Which were excellent.Great price for three courses . The only disappointment was the paella but I was told it is not the same as the one on the regular menu.Nothing fancy here Plastic tables. If you want a special drink they go get it... More

In three weeks, my wife & I ate here 7 times. Seafood paella every Saturday and Miguels specials during weekdays. We have eaten here many times before knowing what is fresh in the markets that day will be in the resturant that night Miguel shops everyday for what he puts out of his kitchen. When my wife was wasn't feeling... More

We visited on the strength of all the TA reviews. A very small restaurant run by a lovely spanish couple. You get the feeling it caters more for the locals as Miguel the owner speaks very little english so communcation was difficult, totally our fault being the typical non spanish speaking tourist. We did get the gyst of the daily... More
