Description: The popular Cozumel Restaurants Casa Mission, La Mission and Parilla Mission have brought their concept to Playa del Carmen. La Mission offers generous portions of seafood, steaks and Mexican specialities at affordable prices. And their "If you don't like it, you don't pay it" slogan is hard to beat. Proof of this is the preference of locals and visitors.

This unassuming restaurant is a great choice if you're looking for a well prepared meal at a great price. Just off the beaten path of 5th Ave, you are immediately welcomed by the gregarious owner and his attentive staff. The drinks were generous and our entrees of Beef Shish Kebob and Mission Shrimp provided more than enough to fill a... More

Based upon recent rankings on Trip Advisor we tried this place as our first dining outside our resort (Fisherman's Village), and found it to be an excellant choice. We both had shrimp and they were excellant.. Dinner included nicely prepared vegatable medley. We were inclined to return, but spent most of our time in the North end of Playa after... More

Food: tasty and fresh. The mole was authentic and the guacamole and salsas were excellent. The ambiance is only fair but not too bad since it's on 10th ave. I think the price is a bit inflated but felt safer eating here than other spots on the same street. (80 pesos for tacos or enchiladas). Overall, if you don't want... More

There are many restaurants in playa del carmen, but this one is distinctive. It is a simple, genuine place with a great variety of Mexican food/fare. The "sexy coffee" is great too! We were very impressed with the service and just down home feel.

My wife and I had dinner here and the food was excellent. She had fried shrimp that had a breading that was a little heavier than she likes but the shrimp was fresh and cooked perfectly. I had chicken fajitas that were really good. We were served complementary guacamole appetizer and tortilla soup which were both better than any we... More

This place is a must stop for all those coming to Playa De Carmen....why? Because it is just a few blocks off of Playa´s main tourist area and the food menu which La Mission sells is the top quality of other competing restaurants... However, here is the great deal.... It is half the price!!!!! yes half... and the Lobster is... More

La Mission is a block off the beaten tourist track and is more Mexican than touristy. The chicken mole was excellent and suitably spicy. The free soup and guacamole were a nice bonus. Be sure to check out the courtyard at the back on the way to the restrooms.

Just one block off the main shopping center, this lovely restaurant was empty when we stopped in one evening. We'd made a reservation not realizing they had only opened in November and didn't realize not many people have found them yet. That won't last long. The service was very attentive, the food was well prepared and tasty. We had the... More

We were trying out every place at Playa del carmen's 5th avenue and ran upon a local that told us to try a really good local place. he took us there himself, and we were a bit worried that we were leaving the touristy area for the local area.... once we arrived the place looks like a local everyday eating... Everything was fresh, hot and very tasty. The Lime Soup was really good. All the wait staff were very friendly and helpful understanding the menu. Not a bad place to hang out near the beach and shopping for a while and have a good lunch. None of us left hungry.....
