Have just eaten at restaurant. Food freshly cooked in open kitchen. Surprisingly they give you complimentary dips, lime soup and garlic bread...all delicious. .before the meal. We opted for seafood meals which were fantastic. We also had a bottle of wine which was reasonably priced for area. The staff were friendly and service great. Worth visiting.

We came to celebrate our 35th anniversary & chose not to eat on the popular Avenida. We were summoned by the aroma of the La Mission Restaurant cooking from the sidewalk. After entering we were not only hooked by the aroma, but excellence of the service. We felt real special. The food was unforgettably delicious, I could not cook the... More

Off la 5ta, so feels much more local. The service was great and so was the food. The plates are huge and you get chips and salsa, garlic bread, etc., so make sure you are hungry when you come so you can enjoy everything. And you'll probably have something left to take.

I loved our dinner experience here. We were in la 5ta looking for a not so Gringo place to eat and one of the street tour vendors recommended this place. It took us while to found it but we got here and it was love at first sight. A true local's place with so much charm and character. The food... More

We visited La Mission last week on our recent trip to Playa. I had read about the restaurant on Tripadvisor and had been wanting to try it. We did have a difficult time finding it but it was worthwhile. My husband had the Coconut Shrimp and I had the Lobster and Shrimp. All dishes were delicious! The lime soup we... More

We were on the hunt for nachos and stumbled across this gem - lovely ambience, excellent service. All we ordered were some starters and we were laden with multiple free dishes including complimentry dessert. Highly recommended, even if it looks quiet, give it a go

We were the only ones in the restaurant at 4 or 5pm and were looked after so so well!! We received a lovely complimentary starter and then nachos which seemed plain to me but were tasty none the less. Their lemonade tastes delicious and homemade and we were lucky to receive a compimentary dessert too. Great guacamole and great customer... More

Asked a cab driver for some good Mexican food. Food was plentiful and very good at this off the beaten path restaurant. We started with chips, salsa and guacamole brought with our menus and drinks. After we placed our order we were brought lime soup - similar to tortilla - very good. Our entrees arrived and they were excellent -... More

This restaurant is extremely good with more than adequate portions. It is one block off 5th Avenue and consequently a tremendous value. Surf and turf worked well and the house wine was very good. The service was attentive and the presentation of Mexican coffee was the best of the ten times we have experienced it. Will definitely go back on... More

I went to la Mission thanks to the tripadvisor reviews, my Spanish friend wanted to try some authentic Mexican food and I was craving seafood. He ordered the Mexican platter and I had the seafood platter. Altough I could tell that the food was fresh the flavor and the quantity were not that good, my platter had a little bit... More
