Fabulous place to eat. A great value for a great steak and seafood meal. Atmosphere is fantastic and service was as well. You can't go wrong eating here. Each trip in the last three years we have eaten at La Mission and have not been disappointed. It's off the beaten path but worth it to get a great meal at... More

My family and I visited El Mission in PDC on the evening of Christmas Day, 2014. The restaurant is large and most of the seating area is under a massive palapa. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Most of us ordered seafood and were very pleased with our meals. (My son ordered a burrito, and the waiter asked him... More

Every time we are in Playa del Carmen this is a "MUST DO" dining experience. I have yet to order anything except filet mignon. (I cannot eat seafood😔) And it is always perfect. And I have yet to finish the meal. Let me tell you leftover rare beef is just fine with me; a late night snack or early morning... More

Stayed at all inclusive and our bartender recommended La Mission. We were getting bored with the resort food. The portions were big and around $15. You could get beef, chicken, or seafood dinners. We ate there twice during our week stay in Playa. The restaurant is quaint and you can see the chef prepare your meals. It also has a... More

What can I say? The Coconut shrimp are massive, fresh, and extremely flavorful. The steak was cooked to perfection. This place is off the beaten path but more than worth the effort to find. If we were staying longer we would be dining here again.

We have been to Playa ten times for stays of several weeks each time. There are tons of restaurants. La Mission is one of the best. Their food is always delicious. From the lobster to the chicken mole to the fish, it is all tasty The staff is very friendly They accomodated a dozen of us one evening and just... More

Exceptionally fresh seafood at affordable prices and just a block or two off the main 5th Avenue area. The Caribbean Lobster, fish and shrimp were all fresh and grilled expertly. There is not much atmosphere in the restaurant -- just casual tables. The vegetable side was bland. The stuffed baked potato was good. The platter was large enough to share... More

With 3 small children under the age of 5 it was a fantastic place to go. Quiet away from the hustle of 5th ave, great food, great service, I would recommend to anyone in Playa.

Dinner was awesome. The service was great. Nothing negative to say about the place. Recommending to future Playa Del Carmen travelling friends.
