we have eaten at alux in playa del carmen twice and have enjoyed the different atmosphere and good food. the prices are reasonable and the food is very good. take a small flashlight with you to help read the menu. don't forget to explore the caverns after dinner.
Our credit card was charged 3 times the same night but we only used it one time there but when we got home we found that they had charged it for 3 different amounts. and would not take off the charges. Use cash if you go there.....

This restaurant is out of the downtown area but so worth the cab ride (or walk) to it. Its only 4 blocks west of the highway on Juarez Ave. It is inside an old cenote and the ambiance is special. Food and service excellent. We bring friends every year and everyone loves it. What a gem of a place
Within a cenote it is this restaurant. You sightsee the whole place when they take you to your table, and you can enjoy a different spot to dine.
