We were recommended this place as a nearby great eats by our dive operator Cenote Xperience and wow! It was great. Beers were average price, tacos 26 peso, tostadas 40 (hard and full with fresh salad and filling) Smoked tuna was recommended and great. Partner liked the shrimp. Both loved the fish cerviche tostado. Went back a few times (And... More

Away from the massive tourist walkways, it was refreshing that this spot was further inland and didn't have the drunk, tourist crowd and vendors. None of the staff seem to really know any English which is also refreshing, so brush up on some simple Spanish! They do have a menu available in English, so check them both out if you... More

Typical Mexican restaurant, lots of choices like fish tacos, tostadas and more. Recommended by locals, it's the right place to go. The place is informal and also recommended to heal your hangovers.

Local place, 3 blocks from 5th ave, not typical tourist trap. Seafood is fresh made, the stuff not speak English, but they try hard to help you. If you try you will be back.

sophisticated food in a very simple ambiance, very reasonable prices.... unforgettable shrimps a la diabla... if you are trying to avoid the expensive tourist traps, this is your place. Mostly locals, always crowded. This is my number one choice in Playa

Loved the ceviche, fish tacos and tostadas. All of the sauces that they bring out are amazing too! We've been twice during this trip and hope to go back one more time.

We only ate one dish, but tried all the different salsas that were pretty good, spwcially the green and light orange ones. Btw the shop to the right has relly high prices and bad customer services. Just so you know lol.

My wife and I were in Playa in June to go diving. The owner of Dive Mike recommended this restaurant so we decided to check it out. The restaurant is not fancy compared to restaurants on 5th Avenue but it is clean. Our waiter did not speak much English but he spoke more English than we spoke Spanish. He was... More

These tacos were so yummy that after devouring four, I ordered another two. And they offer gluten free, dairy free options. Highly recommend this little local place in Playa del Carmen.
