Restaurant is Beautiful -- Service Blows

I'm not going to talk about the restaurant being over-priced. It is an absolutely beautiful restaurant, very romantic with outstanding live music. I expect to pay for the music and ambiance and some great wine. Having said that, I do expect outstanding service. Our heavy-set waiter looked... read more

Food was regular but the check was the problem, they try to church extra food, then they include tip and ask you to tip again without telling you that they already charged you. Stay Away

I ate here with my granddaughter on the last night of our vacation since we ate there 11 years ago. first off it was a Friday evening around 9 and the place was empty. I read no reviews beforehand my bad. The pasta dishes started out at 22 dollars U.S. and steaks 35 dollars U.S. We went for pasta which... More

I should have known to stay away from this place as it is in a prime location on 5th Ave and always empty. The couches looked inviting after a long day of snorkeling so we gave it a try. The couches smelled of cat spray likely because of the resident cat that roams around eating scraps off the floor. I... More

I tried the pizza; It was even worse than the frozen industrial stuff you d buy in a super market. With a glass of wine: about 50 usd. Do not go there the other reviews are correct ; this is a tourist trap

Overpriced, terrible food and still worse wine selection. If you are looking for Argentinean food try Sur ( fancier ) or Diez (great empanadas).

It may look charming but this is the most overpriced place for the worst food in all of Playa del Carmen. The wine is 3 times the price it should be, the steaks, as others have pointed out, are tough and chewy. They add a tip to the bill for terrible service, and also added another item we never ordered... More

Avoid this place. Cheap wine at 175 pesos a glass, anywhere else 60-90. Steak so tough could not cut it, asked for a steak knife, they only had ONE for the whole restaurant. Even then could not cut it, the waiter said to press harder!!! This place has a beautiful setting, a pity the restaurant is not as good as... More
