Nice options

This restaurant stood out among the very busy 5th avenue as bright, clean, with a nice menu. Great seating for people watching . The service was very good and they had a nice mix of seafood and pastas Mini lobster tails were great and reasonably priced . Would go back!

We had travelled all day, were exhausted and glad to be seated in this attractive Italian venue. It is not one of the many pizza joints, but instead is a restaurant. We were seated promptly, offered bread, menu and beverages promptly. We shared a Caesar salad (topped with chicken) and Lasagna, which is a beef and cream (bechamel?) recipe, no... More

There are a lot of Italian-theme restaurants in Playa del Carmen--most not that good. (We were sad when El Pescador closed.) Abasciata--located north of Constituentes at about 22nd Calle--makes its own pasta, which is very good, and the sauces are flavorful and inventive. The open-air people watching along Avenita 5 (La Quinta) makes it even more fun. Good service, a... More

The food is just OK, but the most terrible thing about this restaurant is service. The food took a very long time to get to the table and the waitress kept saying just a few more minutes. Just keep walking, there are more and better options

So, the food selection was quite good with a diverse offering of Italian food with some dishes having a Mexican twist. The pizza and pasta we ordered was good, but the service was way too fast when you didn't want it, and too slow when you did. We ordered our drinks, and then several minutes later, our waiter returned to... More

The chef is actually straight from italy so you are garunteed authentic italian food. I lived... More

It's really hard for me to believe that this restaurant has an average of 4/5. We came here a Monday night and it was a real nightmare. We started begging the waiters to have our order taken, and it took them twenty minutes to do so. We asked for a pizza and a spaghetti dish, and they brought us the... More

It was fun for people watching, and the food drinks were very good. We came on a busy night, so the service was only ok. Worth a try!
