Our seafood and pasta was cooked table side by our waiter who spoke fluent English. End the evening with a cappuccino. They are wonderful!

We stop in for quick bite after doing some shopping on 5th Ave. The service was great and the food was really good. We caught the just as the 2:1 special on cocktails started, so the drinks were flowing.

Awesome food, service was delightful. Was a little more expensive than we planned, but thats okay, we wanted authentic mexican food, and something other than all inclusive food at the hotel. This was a great little find walking through playa, and its near the ferry for Cozumel. But they have the freshest food, and depending upon what you order, its... More

Started off good with a nice waiter but as the food arrived, it went downhill. We had the house special which had lobster, fish, crab and shrimp. The lobster was powdery and the crab was too small to get any meat out of it. We paid a lot of money for a meal that was tasteless and when we politely... More

Great presentation! The Mexican platter for 2 was awesome. It was served on top a ceramic pig with charcoal underneath to keep it warm. It was more than enough for two. It starts with chips and salsa and guacamole. Next they bring out the pig!! It had cheese quesadilla's, BBQ ribs, chicken and steak kabobs, steak for soft tacos, rice... More

There are two restaurants by the same name. We ate at the one near the ferry/pier. We were coaxed into this restaurant by the restaurant host. Our waiter was Ray. Ray was amazing. He was attentive, accurate, and knowledgable about the menu, restaurant history and pretty much anything else you asked him. He made us feel like we were his... More

Dining along the busy 5th Street was not something we had planned to do. Crowds of people walking by overlooking the table just didn't appeal to us, however; tucked away just a stairway above the street there is an excellent experience. The Los Rancheros host escorted us to a an outdoor table overlooking the street; there is also indoor dining.... More

I think we all agreed it was the best food of our trip- hands down. We sat there for several hours eating, drinking and having fun. Never felt rushed or ignored. We all ate all of our meals, and the even brought us extra stuff to try. Definitely worth a visit- we will be returning anytime in Playa. THANKS GUYS!!

Was really surprised by this. We walked 40 minutes down the beach to 5th avenue in the middle of the day so after that and walking 5th avenue for almost 2 hours we really just hoped for some place with air conditioning to cool off. The street caller promised cold ac, 2 for 1 beers, and the best food in... More
