More great service in Mexico

We dined as a group of six people and were treated with an absolutely fabulous meal. The portions are very large and the prices are very small, and the flavours are huge. Open air restaurant near highway 307 so noisy at times, but I would recommend it's worth a try. This year they have an English... read more

Super fresh guacamole, homemade sauces, (LOVE the tamarind sauce), and delicious fresh fish! Loved the diabla style. Will come back next time I am in Playa! HIGHLY recommend. It is off of the highway, but it feels like you are on a beach! The conch shell faucets are a wonderful touch.

We went to this restaurant 3 times in 2 weeks! Julio was our waiter and the food and service was excellent! It is off the beaten path on 307 BUT better than any place on 5th! It is worth the effort! Restaurant is very cute and great restrooms! Huge staff amazing! Shrimp taco's, chili shrimp and coconut shrimp are delicious!

You have to try it! It's a very nice place to go for lunch, the staff is very friendly, the food is excellent (specially the aguachile and the shrimp tacos). It has two locations, one in Cancun across the street from Costco and one in Playa del Carmen. I have been to both and both have the same quality of... More

I love this place!! They are known for their tamarindo sause. Very famous for their shrimp tacos!! But also they have delicious ceviche and other sea food plates!! Besides beer you can enjoy their local flavor juices like horchata (rice juice), tamarind and Jamaica juice (hibiscus). If you go to Playa don't forget to stop at the Oasis!!

we alsways loved the fish and shrimp tacos but this last time it seemed like more breaking than shrimp or fish. Also tried the empanadas mixto this time and the crab and marlin were not to our taste at all. One of us had the shrimp kabobs which were ok but all three sauces were sweet. Needed something spicy. Cold... More

Excellent seafood! I ordered the "filete relleno de mariscos" and it's delicious. The attention, the ambience all was great. I will return in my next trip to Playa del Carmen.

Our experience was so good that we went back two days later. El Oasis serves fresh seafood cooked in a traditional mexican style. The place is very simple open air but the service is fantastic, quick, helpful, efficient and always with a smile. The decor is somewhat kitsch but adds flavor to the place. Out of all the things we... More
