The ambiance was perfect, the food was amazing, the staff were friendly but not fake and very accomodating and the prices were not inflated as many places on 5th are. All in all I would recommend this to everyone I know. I went with my mom and my two kids. 3 of us are vegetarian. No problems finding something on... More

After receiving a tip from a fellow traveler, my boyfriend and I tried out La Vagabunda for breakfast during our stay in Playa in February 2012. We weren't disappointed! It's a great little spot - right on fifth, lots to see in the morning, and lots of activity at the restaurant itself. Tables are inside and outside, and the staff... More

La Vagabunda is at the newest end of the 5th Avenue strip (north end) - nice casual restaurant with various options for food - highly recommend the Nachos Volcano for a two-person snack. Love waiter "Artemio" - he's a very nice and fun person! More

We ate here often during our stay as it was 1/2 block from our hotel. Had a total of 3 breakfasts & 1 lunch at La Vagabunda. The food was consistently good, service was hot and luke warm, never bad. Nice fresh fruit platter and huevos rancheros. Good & reliable. More

Love this restaurant for a cold cervesa and a"tower" of tacos. Some great Mexican dishes which are a little hard to find on the Avenue. More

Over the years that I have been coming to Playa I have gone to La Vagabunda - and over the years I have seen a gradual decline in both food quality and customer service. They use to have teh best Chilaquiles in Playa - now in my opinion they are almost inedible. also twice I ahve had "problems" with my... More

This is a great little spot for some excellent, reasonably priced mexican food. The ceviche appetizer is a meal in itself. The service is friendly and not pushy. I will have to say that Playa del Carmen falls short of expectations, but this restaurant is well worth it. I would sit in the restaurant, instead of outside by the road,... More

This place was, as I graded it, very average. It did it's job by filling us - but there are far better places in town to experience. More

We eat here every year during our holiday in Playa. The service is great, the food is excellent, the restaurant is clean. Restaurants come and go in Playa....this is one that has always been around..that speaks for itself! More

We actually ate here first via take out when we arrived on vacation and my husband caught a cold. I ordered Aztec soup to go....it was fantastic and the serving enough for the two of us. When he felt better we went there for breakfast and later appetizers and drinks. Breakfast, about 79.00pesos each, included coffee, toast and OJ. The... More
