The grouper with garlic and butter for 90 pesos can't be beat anywhere. Service was good, portions are huge , drinks are large and excellent, and the location is right on the beach (feet in the sand if you choose). A great value.

Cheap eats on the Beach

Good food at a great price. Don't expect 5 star dining, you're eating out on the beach for cheap. Garlic filet of fish is good as well as the guacamole. Beer and mixed drinks available and you can use your table as a base in the shade for beach time.

we have been going to PDC for years and found this great local seafood spot and fell in love. Great location, right on the beach, eat with your toes in the sand, can't beat that. It is the oldest restaurant in PDC, we get great service when we go, probably because they remember us from so many repeat visits. I... More

Went early and secured a front row lounge with a good view. They start the day with 3 neat rows. Well as the day goes on and they get full, they just fill the space between the rows and in FRONT. You will end up with people almost on top of you, sharing your parasol, smoking, yelling, etc. There is no path... More

On our last day in Playa we found this place while walking down the beach. We just wanted margaritas and appetizers. The margaritas were the worse I have ever had! I'm not even sure they rate as being called a margarita. We couldn't even drink them. I ordered a " burrito" which took a very long time to make and... More

This place was GREAT. We sat right on the beach and ordered the special our waiter recommended. It was the best butterfly shrimp I've ever had. Service AA+, and quite a tasty margarita to go with it :)

We ate here on Sunday. Our food was very good. I had a garlic fish filet, Kathy had tixincix fish. Our dining companions had chicken soup and Mayan Chicken. We were all very pleased. With drinks it was 500 pesos, or $30 USD for the four of us

This place is the first "beach club" in Playa del Carmen, it's simple and yet great you can have a table just beachside and have a delicious and low priced meal watching the sea and people passing by while listening to a song from traditional musicians. Whole fish with garlic chips is one of the greatest and freshest dishes here,... More

Usually our 1st night dinner that never disappoints. We went to Playa many times before actually trying this place, and were we ever glad we did. Now it's a 1st stop and we usually go 3-4 times in a week. Toes in the sand, great view, and cheap fresh seafood! It's the oldest restaurant in Playa. Most places are begging... More
