We went here for breakfast after a tip from a local and boy, we were not disappointed. My wife had been talking about the chilaquiles and we both ordered them in different styles - totally yummy and will keep you going for a fair few hours! Setting is really nice if you sit outside and the fresh juices are great.... More

first time we visited "The Monkey" was about ten years ago. We have always loved our meals and the quality of the food and juices. Wonderful setting. The service is always good. Perfect!

We stop here at least once each visit. We always try something unusual that the are featuring that day. We've probably been there a dozen times and always pleased. I did question my selection once when I ordered the "Corn Smut" preparation but it too was OK. A big condo is being built adjacent to the restaurant and noisy right... More

La Cueva del Chango, was a green house, converted in a open garden with big trees a nice open kitchen and bar and abhandsome owner. I visited this restaurant with some Mexican friends. The menu is very intrresting besides their fresh fruit shakes. While you wait for your meal, instead of putting a basket with bread on the table, they... More

Off the beaten path, quiet, unique layout, lit up trees, hanging rattan lamps ,like eating in a magical cave, but it is open air. Food is excellent ! The staff has pride in their food and service and they should be. The breakfast and dinners, esp appetizers ar some of the best food you can have. Well priced.

Cute place, great service, really good food. Off the beaten path but within walking distance of the centre of Playa del Carmen. Best mole we've ever had, and the other dishes looked good too.

Went there for breakfast and how everyone rawer about it. Breakfast was OK and was overpriced, the ambiance was better suited for nightlife. Better to go off the main drag and hit the smaller places for better food and prices.

Highly recommend the habanero soup, though ask to make it spicy. Amazing. Tuna tacos were fantastic and passion fruit margaritas were one-of-a-kind.
