We went here for a late breakfast. The Mexican good was excellent, and we were able to sit outside on the patio. Highly recommended. Make a reservation because it is understandably very popular.

Visited this restaurant with a large group for our first night out in Playa del Carmen. Didn't look like much from the front, but once inside is a jungle of fun! Fish swim in streams through the tables and plants all around. Great service from our waiter, even with such a large group including kids. Food was good also!

We really enjoyed our dinner here recently. The setting was very intimate and tropical jungley, our server was attentive and professional, and the food was delicious! The goat cheese salad with pecans and grapefruit is HIGHLY recommended as a starter, and our entrees (chicken mole and a shrimp dish whose name I can't recall) were really tasty. My dish could... I watched the line ups for weeks from our rental unit and decided to join the line on our last day in Playa. What a great treat, the staff were most helpful, we wanting to select a typical mexican breakfast and that is exactly what we received. Delicious it was, looking forward to introducing family and friends to La Cueva... More

While out on 5th ave for the day we come across this unique restaurant. We sit out in the garden area surrounded by beautiful greenery. The food was good---service was great--prices not bad. Great place to enjoy beautiful Mexico.

It really felt like we were in the monkeys cave! Awesome canopy trees, cool lighting, wheelburrows full of lemons and limes. Great menu options...A little on the pricier side, but good drinks and service. This was our splurge meal of the week. Loved it!

One of the better brunch spots in Playa del Carmen, this garden venue is a feast for the eyes with its central fish and turtle pool and lush tropical plants. Like everywhere in the area, dining outdoors, can be a challenge for those who attract mosquitos - bring some effective repellent and you'll be rewarded. Our group of 3 adults,... More
