Great food and service

Been there so far 2 times during 2 week holiday. Always good service and food. Tft they tuna tostadas and green salsa they put on table delicious! The bill never came to more than £45 and I always ordered a lot of food enough for 4 adults!

Even though the restaurant is charming and the decoration unique, our visit was a disappointment, when we arrived for breakfast around 10 the place was partially busy, but the waiter made a frown when we asked for a table at the terrace instead of one interior, it took over 15 minutes just to bring the menus and the food could... The large trees of the restaurant, which is surrounded by buildings make this a retreat of a few degrees colder and an overall nice setting. Service was very friendly and flexible to serve special requests regarding our baby. Food was delicious and prices affordable. Recommended for something simple and yummy with a nice but not posh setup.

Lovely ambience and great food! Found this on our list provided by our hotel was not dissapointed! Our breakfast was delicious fresh in house made, pan de dulce. We even took some to go! There is a lovely little table outside near a little pond!

La Cueva was one of those places that so many of my friends had told me about over the years. I finally decided to go in March and I absolutely loved it! The atmosphere is fun for friends, couples or groups. The service is so personable and friendly and the food is just perfect. Their seafood is awesome. This is... More

Amazing menu, with freshly squeezed juices, cereals through to huge breakfasts (both Mexican and international). Reasonably priced, excellent quality in a relaxed atmosphere - thoroughly enjoyable. Recommend arriving before 10am, to beat the rush!

Hands down the best Mexican food we ate in Playa del Carmen. Amazing value as well, 2 courses plus drinks for two people for around £20, brilliant!

Delicious and fresh with friendly and helpful staff. We were in an all inclusive hotel, but ate here twice because we liked it so much. The food was great and the atmosphere matched. Good that the locals seemed to like it too - anyone we mentioned it to knew about it and said it was great.

On our visit to Playa del Carmen, La Cueva del Chango became our hangout spot. Once we discovered this gem we were there practically every night. Their shrimp with cilantro cream sauce was so good that every member of our 5 person group ordered it at least once. Their guacamole was addictive! And the service was so friendly and wonderful... I've said it before and I'm going to say it again: this place is a gem! I've never had a bad meal here and it wouldn't be a trip to PDC without breakfast in the little garden with the waterfalls under the trees. All the juices are fantastic and so fresh. Just go. OH and don't forget they don't accept... More
