Family working...beautiful atmosphere among trees and galleries...small and excellent service (a bit pricey but good for a special occasion).

I and read about this slightly off 5th aveneda Italian restaurant and wanted to try the fresh pasta. We were delighted with the absolutely succulent meal we enjoyed. The location is almost in an alleyway( interesting) . We would go back and encourage anyone who loves Italian to enjoy the restaurant

It is a restaurant located in the 5th Avenue though it's a bit hidden from everything. The waiters and the owners are italian and it just feels like eating in Italy. Great authentic italian food

I just had to write a review about this restaurant that I had happened upon on trip advisor. Although not too far from the hustle and bustle on 4th avenue, I felt like we were many miles away. It is down a short alley nestled in trees and art galleries. The setting is beautiful and the owner, a gentleman from... More

This restaurant was highly recommended and from the locals dining near us, it appears to be have been enjoyed by all. The food is authentic Italian with some unique recipes that we've never had. The portions were a good size and the presentation was lovely. The desserts were fabulous! The atmosphere of the restaurant is charming, tucked in a side... More

My wife, daughter (12) and I dined at Casa Mediterranea for the second time a few nights ago and it didn't disappoint. The restaurant is on 5th ave but nested in an alley, away from the noise and all the craziness. We went on a slow night and the owner took good care of us. We all had different kinds... More

You really have to look for this ristorante because it is down an ally but once you find it you will return. This is a little open air place with about 10 tables. The food here is great and the service is a match. We ate here twice in our two week stay. Next trip to Playa we will be... More

I and my sons (ages 13 & 15) ended up going to Casa Mediterranea because we couldnt find another place we had been looking for. We should have kept looking! Although my boys thought the food was good (they also love Kraft Mac & Cheese) I was very disappointed, especially when I saw the TA reveiws. Everything we ordered was... More

I meant to write this review sooner - we were there just two weeks ago and it was fabulous from start to finish. Service was impeccable, food was outstanding (tuna carpaccio was the best!) and the atmosphere was so lovely and romantic! We can't wait to go back again on our next trip. Thank. You Maria and Mauricio.
