Substantially overrated. Pretty bold claim from me so I'll go into some detail in my review. Read the reviews on trip adviser singing accc's praises, so we got mousse, brownie, and two different types of drinking choc (Mayan and traditional). The mousse was good, roughly the same as what we get from Hudson Greene (our local corner store back in... More

This place is a chain with several locations in Playa del Carmen. The one we visited was north of Constitution on 5th Ave. We went in for coffee after dinner, and were offered a taste of dark chocolate, which was amazing! We ended up getting a dark chocolate brownie, which we all agree was THE best brownie we've ever had!

I wish we had been able to get into Playa more just to go back to this cafe! We had a chocolate frio, which is cold chocolate milk unlike any you've ever had! SO GOOD! I bought chocolate bars for 2 chocoholic friends at home, then reluctantly left. 4 blocks away, I made my husband turn around & go back... More

Simply put: You have to go there and taste their amazing Brownies! Basically: good coffee, nice service and just amazing chocolate. No wonder, this is where chocolate comes from. :)

This cafe was on our must-do list when we were recently in Playa del Carmen. We loved the Mayan Hot Chocolate and Frozen Chocolate drinks, they were not only delicious but beautifully presented!! Also had a croissant which was buttery and flaky, perfect!!! Great service too from our lovely waitress. We'll be back!!

Delicious food (try the brownies!), great coffee, good cold chocolate drinks. I'm sipping a cup of medium roast now. Buy a bag of beans to take home with you!

A lovely spot that honours cacao, all things natural, and nice mellow spot to take a breath. Great blended chai beverage, and if it wasn't so hot, I would have loved to try the drinking chocolate. The coffee, unfortunately, was terrible. I'm not sure if it was the roast, or the way it was prepared, but it was awfully sharp.... More
