Good intro to Cuban appetizers

Nice setting, on a quieter part of la quinta avienida. Really nice waiters, helpful in advising on choosing among unfamilar appetizers. Dishes were all enjoyable. So were the margueritas.

La Bodeguita del Medio is a must stop while in PDC each time for mojitos. We have been to other locations they have and always enjoy the mojitos, they are done right. The new location in PDC is in a good spot and never disappoints. Must stop if you like mojitos. We will be back soon!

This place used to be my favorite place to visit for dinner. And I would look forward to it. But on this most recent visit, it just didn't have the same energy. You don't come here for the food, or even necessarily the mojitos (which are good), you come for the live music and the dancing. The band was basically... More

Visited on a whim while shopping in PDC (it was poring on us at the time). This is my/our first visit to an authentic Cuban restaurant, and seeing the main location being in Havana, we felt it was going to be pretty authentic. We were not disappointed. They had a great beer special that day, which we took FULL advantage... More

We visited this club last year and liked it! Not so much this year! It was expensive last year, but this year it was literally a ripoff! I ordered a tonic water, speak Spanish and do not drink. I was charged for 2 alcoholic drinks. The woman insisted alcohol was on the tonic and she would not budge, costing me... More

I always check out the salsa scene and was so happy to find this salsa bar around the corner form our condo! I can't compare to the other salsa bars in playa because I never made it-I really enjoyed BDM! Live music every night and the tight spaces that salsa dancers love to hate! The staff did a great job... More

My wife and I decided to visit playa Carmen and have a nice dinner. My wife is Cuban and was in the mood for some Cuban food that she misses. It started with drinks, 2 monitors which were watered down. We ordered an order of shrimp and beef turnovers. We got them doughy and cold we could not eat them.... More

This is my second time to LanBodeguita Del Medio and again, great food, drinks, entertainment and service. Their special pork and beef dish was superb accompanied by their tostones and rice with black beans.

We visited the fifth avenue of the downtown at night and had dinner at this restaurant. They had live music, which was nice and fun, they also gave mini salsa dance clases, but the food was horrible. I suppose you do not go to a cuban restaurant and expect great food. the drinks and dancing would be the reason to... More
