My husband and I decided to venture out of our resort for dinner and decided on this restaurant. We were very pleased with our choice! Excellent service, appetizer, and main dish! Drinks were so so but we are not big drinkers and probably made poor choice for our taste.

No complaints at all about our visit. Wait staff was very friendly and personable. Five people, five meals, no complaints. Highly recommend a stop for a meal here.

I love trying new things. The food here was different than what we were used to, but it was very enjoyable.

After driving all over Quintana Roo, partaking in a variety of delightful local Mayan cuisine, we thought we'd end our last night with a gourmet Mayan bang at Yaxche; well, not so much, not really impressed. The Pollo Kinech was a bit dry and lacked flavor, and the Saaka Chay was so hard that we could not bite into it,... More

We dined for lunch. We tried two ceviches and had some drinks. We did not like either dish. The guacamole was bland. The best part of lunch was accommodating staff and A/C. We would not done again.

Loved the location and the outstanding service and delicious Mayan food. Service was a 10 and so was the food.

Recommended to come here from a coworker. We shared a bottle of wine and each had an entrée and the meal was around $25 which we were pleased with. Wait staff was attentive, and the food was healthy. The portion sizes are small/reasonable so don't expect to share an entrée. Will likely return here later in our trip!

Our first time trying Mayan food and we really enjoyed this restaurant! Service and food (as well as cocktails) were all excellent. They took a picture of our group, as well as individual couples and at the end of dinner, gave each couple the picture they took on a bottle of tequila. And the group picture in frames, which was... The food is outstanding and creative, for example Mole with fish instead of chicken. We went there twice, especially since it's something different than most other options which focus on grill, steaks or americanized Mexican food. It comes with a price tag, but a well-deserved one. Recommended for something special, local and still reasonably authentic.

I had never had mayan food before but if they had eaten here they wouldn't have disappeared. The meat would melt in your mouth. I had pork and my wife had beef. The corn tortillas were excellent. My wife asked for a margarita, "fuerte" strong and it actually came that way. Don't miss this place. I'm going back.
