Basic breakfast combination meal available from around $80, this fun spot has an extensive menu with lots of choice. My eggs, potatoes and beans breakfast was good without being excellent. Excellent coffee however. Service was friendly and laid back. I saw a group of Americans leave their table and noted how, when they left behind a phone on their table,... More

We were a group of 14 and everyone was very happy with their food. I loved the chefs salad with real chicken, cheese, bacon, avocado. The burgers and tacos were great and the guacamole/salsa side dish was a huge hit! The service was efficient and fast. I would give this five stars if I wasn't tricked into tipping twice! The... We stopped in for a drink and snacks on our last trip to the area. We were immediately greeted by our server with our menu and take our drink order. He recommended the Mango Margarita for me and I have to say he was bang on.....it was so good!!! We placed our order and waited for a our food to... More

This place was pretty cool. Right off 5th Ave. The Margaritas were great, the service was good. If you are on vacation and don't want to miss the latest football game, this is the place to go. If they take a picture of you, expect a sales pitch of a small bottle of tequila customized with your photo. That was... More

Couldn't think of a better place to watch the Packers kick the Bears (55-14)...at a bar in MX, outside in November, big screen TV, drinking beer...and listen to Bears fan's yell obscenities. Haha! This is a small bar with a big TV. Eat, drink and be happy. Simple!

We went to Pez Vela for first time and would say it was average overall compared to other dining experiences in Playa Del Carmen. We order fajitas, steak tacos and shrimp tacos. Service was ok. Biggest problem came when we went to pay our bill. While they advertise that they take Amex, they said their machine was broken for Amex.... More

I stopped here for breakfast this morning. The steak and eggs were pretty good. Prices were high even by Quinta Avenida standards. However, I found the service pretty lousy. There was only one other table occupied in the whole place at 8am and it took a long time for them to take my order. I would have rated this 3... More

Well what can I say we walked in sat down and within seconds we had two bottles of corona sat at the table. Quirky swing seats at the bar very funky. Excellent food and cheeky waiters who advise how much to tip all in all a great place to hang out

Fun place where you sit on swings. Food: My husband loved the Mayan Chicken...Me: the lime soup, the mushroom quesadillas (very cheesy and lots of condiments), and the melted queso. The best part is the friendly servers...Oscar, Victor, Rodrigo and Jose. They make you feel at home. The music is retro and great.
