We passed by this place a couple times and it seemed authentic Mexican seafood and it was! Not only it has a laid back atmosphere but the prices of the food are really good value for money. You get good quality fresh seafood for fair prices unlike a lot of places in the Quinta Avenida. This was a very good... More

Targeted this place and it lived up to its rating. I had beef she fish. Both neaks were well presented and thoroughly enjoyable. Our young waiter most polite and efficient. Good location for people watching. Would have rated a five but they included gratuity in the bill as a service charge.

Visited the Langosteria Maya restaurant which used to be the Lapesca restaurant. Name changed due to conflict in the name with another restaurant in another city. However, I am happy to report it is still owned by the same person. The food there is very good and the pricing moderate. Every time I go there I enjoy the steamed Lobster... More

The food and service was excellent. The seafood was fresh and portions were abundant. This restaurant was recommended to us by our concierge and we were not disappointed! The prices are incredibly low, most certainly the best value for great seafood in Playa! Whenever I return to Playa I will plan on dining here (at least once). Do not pass... More

I've been coming here for many years (even before the name change). The food is always good and the service excellent. We usually eat here 3 times over a 2 week period. It's off the beaten path but worth the trip. It's what i call a price performer. The fish is incredibly fresh and the steaks are well seasoned. This... More

Best deal and meal in town. Had Rib Eye Steak and Lobster as a special and boy was it! Steak was cooked perfectly and served on a hot cast iron platter. Lobster was great with garlic in butter to dip. Baked Potato and mixed vegetables served with bread finished the meal. $110 pesos for a variety large drinks including hurricanes,... More

Just returned from my annual girl's trip to Playa and had dinner here the last night. It was amazing! The 5 of us had calamari and a whole sea bass and red snapper . I will have to say the snapper was the best fish I have ever had. Our meal for 5 w/ drinks was $75 before tip. We... More

La Pesca or La Pesca Maya or Langostina Maya? We think there might have been a name change, so here's the address: 30 Ave near Ave Constituyentes. This is a MUST eat place. It is very unassuming and tourist friendly. The waiters were great and we were made to feel very comfortable. And the food was fabulous. Five of us... More

The restaurant name has changed its name to Langostina Maya but it is still owned by Antonio. Many of the family members work at the restaurant and they are always friendly and the service is great. You can pick out your fish and have it prepared as you like. The red snapper is the best I have ever had. The... More
