We found La Pesca Maya to be a clean, friendly, and great value restaurant with SOLID SERVICE and VERY GOOD FRESH FISH!!! We were referred there by a local and found it to be a fine choice for casual dining. There is a steady stream of traffic out on the street, but we found it charming and enjoyable from our... More

We were recommended La Pesca Maya by a local friend and were not disappointed. The fish was fresh and we had the chance to see and choose our pieces. All the food was about 2/3rds or less of the price you could expect to pay on 5th Ave or in central Playa del Carmen. The steaks were far better than... More

Whenever we travel we seek out restaurants that are not typical touristy places. The concierge at our resort recommended La Pesca Maya to us and they did not disappoint. We like to share dishes so we can get a broader idea of tastes. We started with lime soup and mixed civiche. Our mains were the mixed brochet and seasoned grouper... More

Seafood soup, grilled salmon, and carne asada, all tasting great. only two options for desert, and we picked the vanilla ice cream, turned out to be very good. presentation of the food is also excellent, a pleasant surprise.

La Pesca was recommended to us by our bartender, so we went to check it out. At first glance, it did not seem promising - it's across from a MEGA store, collectivos stop just outside, and there were only a couple other people in there. But we sat down anyway, and it was the greatest decision we have ever made.... More

We had a throughly enjoyable evening at this restaurant. Some of us took fajitas, while others enjoyed the special surf and turf. Although the meat was good it was a little fatty. I would visit again.

We had fabulous ceviche and then fried fish and Catch of the day in Mojo de Ajo! Its delish! Great place to sit with all ocean style with an outdorsey feel because there is a tree that goes through the restaurant and its Palapa (Dry Palm leaf cone roof). Very affordable.

We have been dining at Pesca for 7 years, and have never been disappointed. Last night''s 3 lobster tail special at around $30 can't be beat for price, and all was grilled to perfection.. My husband's Tikin Xic fish covered with peppers, onions, and spices, and grilled wrapped in a banana leaf was more than he could finish. Service is... More

I recently had 2 meals here. The shrimp tacos and fajitas are excellent. The service was good. I had a mojito which was of good quality but a little overpriced.

I asked how much will be the price for cooked lobster. The waiter told me price for the pound and in pesos. I asked again, approximately. He should know, how much it cost, he works here. He told me, it will be 370 pesos. In my head, I calculated, that it will be about $28.00, if I pay with credit... More
