Locate in the main square in a historical building, a centenarian ice cream shop. They have several ice cream flavors, some are made with typical mexican fruits. The ice cream is like home made, using natural ingredients. It´s an authentic experience in Merida

We were strolling on Paseo Montejo and found this ice cream shop. We noticed that was super busy every time we passed by so we decided to try the last day of our stay. The only regret I have was not trying the ice creams since the first day we arrive in Merida. The guava sorbet is heavenly!! The strawberry... More

My mom and I stopped here after walking around Merida, needing some refreshment. We were not disappointed! So many choices - some exotic (elote, mamey - at least not found in the US), and some traditional. The Coco and Pina were our favorites, but we tried a couple others that were also delicious! Lovely sitting on the edge of the... More

Mexican fruit sorbets and french patisserie. Excellent place to pass the afternoon like a local in paso de montejo.

This is one of my MUST visit places in Merida. This is an old style ice cream parlor, and the ice cream is all fruit based, and natural depending on the fruits in season. My favorite is pitaya when in season, and then coconut, but I like Guanabana as well. There are all different flavors, and the flavors that are... More

Best Coconut sorbet in Mexico. Hands down. I haven't tried all the other flavors but they seem to make everything the same way that they would have in 1909 when it opened. All natural fruit ingredients.

I think this place is traditional and very authentic, some ice cream flavors are kind of exotic (pitaya). I loved the Champolas!

Visited Helados Colón with friends. We all ordered different things. Keep in mind these are traditional flavors and not what you are used to if you come from the US and Europe. For one most are water and not milk based, they have less sugar and are less sweet than the ones in the US or Europe, but seriously, where... More

What I loved was that this is a place where the family came to enjoy a ice cream and walk over Paseo Montejo..
