wow, this is incredible to me...almost 30 idiots who choose not only to go to Starbucks in the first place (which is absurd because it's the worst coffee on the planet) but they choose to go to Starbucks when visiting the Yucatan Peninsula (where they actually GROW coffee)...and then to cap that all off they feel the need to review... My soy latte was just like in Washington....and the pastry we enjoyed and my hubby's te negro made us feel like we were right at home.

I'm usually a snob about Starbucks and prefer to find alternative espresso cafes. But the Starbucks on Paseo de Montejo in Merida became a refuge from the heat and crowds of Merida. And the coffee was excellent and about the same price as the U.S. It's new and the building is a white, classic Spanish design. It looks like an... More

Great service almost all the time, pet friendly if you sit at the terrace. Way to much waste of paper for receipts. Not very green.

The same Starbucks drinks we are used to NOB, but the atmosphere is what sets this one apart. There is a second floor lounge, another on the first floor with tables for working, and a very large outdoor terrace facing the Boulevard. It is usually crowded, but always pleasant, even if it is the most expensive place to get coffee.... More

Wow, they take their Starbucks seriously. Done up in an old mansion on the Paseo de Montejo, with valet parking to boot, they elevate the simple Starbucks the way they do with Wal-Mart. Coffee was good, although pastries were nothing special. It's more of a late-night hangout, with a generous patio out front.

I live in Merida and enjoy my lattes and as usual Starbucks delivers. No matter what location, Starbucks does a great job in training their staff. The Paseo de Montejo location is special. They are located in an old mansion with both indoor seating on 2 levels and a great outdoor space. Parking is no problem since that location offers... More

Good coffee, good service, good snacks - exactly what you would expect at any starbucks. both locations on Caseo de Monteo, the new location and on Calle 60 in the north part of town provide attention to detail to make you feel at home.

If you like it in the USA you will like it here in Merida. Not anything special for the traveler but for the "locals" it is very special and very different from has been know in the past (NO coffee shops). They are all over the town so you should be able to fill your Starbucks fix in short order.
