Wonderful little Cuban restaurant. Good place to people watch as it is located at the corner of a very busy corner. The food is very tasty, and the mojitos's are really really good!!
Cubaro's only selling point is its fantastic location, on the corner of Paseo Montejo right opposite the Monument, which is all lit up at night. The menu is very limited, I would go as far as terming the selection on the menu as gourmet food. The appetiser section had items like venison and huitlacoche, the mains a selection of chicken,... I really liked this place went there on a Wednesday and the atmosphere was great, the view of the monument is exceptional, you really enjoy watching locals exercising and tourists sightseeing while you enjoy a nice mojito, they have lots of exotic mojito cocktails which you should definitely try. Service is really good, floor manager kept checking on tables so... More
We visited this place last Saturday night after a recommendation from our hotel. Everything started off fine and we had an opening drink in a nice open air setting. After that it went downhill. Food and service were amazing. There are probably cheaper places to eat in the area, but Cubaro's is still reasonable. It's located on the traffic circle next to the Monument to the Fatherland so very central to lots of decent hotels.
We had not been to Cubaro in a few years and we were surprised when we saw they have a bar area on the roof. We enjoyed an appetiser and a few beers each their were three of us, the view of Monumento de las Banderas is amazing and you feel as if you are in the middle of everything... More
The food was good but it was way too much. We paid over three hundred dollars for five persons. We did not overeat or drunk too much we only had a bottle of local wine and several bottles of water, My main dish was a plate of steamed vegetables and I was charged more than twenty dollars for it. Better... More
