We visited this establishment during our first few days in a long trip to Merida. I have noted that some reviews point out that they are not "gringos" who know their way around Mexico. Well, I have travelled to Mexico extensively, but I have not experienced some of the none sense that I have in a number of establishments in... More

Slavia is really not like anywhere else in Merida. The decor and atmosphere have a life of their own. The drinks are wonderful. I took a dear friend there for her birthday and we had a lovely evening. There is a separate hooka bar/restaurant for those who are interested in that activity. It is completely sealed off from the other... More

My boyfriend loves this place and has been here many times, but this particular visit left a bit to be desired. The price was quite high compared to other restaurants we went to, and the food was not so great. The tuna ceviche was actually "grilled tuna" and the carpaccio de res was very oily. The drinks were decent and... More

We spent a week in Merida, and by far the best mojitos we got were in Slavia. Also the deer steak was perfectly prepared. Service was friendly and prompt, and the milieu is very original. It's a bit pricey, but worth the money in my opinion.

The service is beyond your expectations, the food is delicious weather you are eating at Cubero or on the Deck with an amazing view at night!! The mango margaritas are a must and I suggest you start on the Deck and then move to the restaurant below or if you only want appetizers then I suggest the filet kabobs that... More

In Mexico, there is trick that some restaurants will play, They will try to charge you IVA separately even though it is included in the price. I have lived in Mexico for over 9 years, speak Spanish and was really surprised when Slavia tired to do this to my wife and I. They obviously thought we we were out of... More

After driving around and getting very hungry we saw valet parking and blindly pulled in. We did not know what to expect with the multi European decor. My son had the deer steak on special and started with a gorgeous ceasar salad. My wife and I had the beef with shrimp and a pepper sauce. She started with a traditional... More

My husband and I have been to Cubaro before (3 restaurant/bars are together, Slavia, Tobago and Cubaro, all with slightly different menus) and I knew before we even got there what I wanted to eat for our anniversary celebration. :-) Both my husband and I had the "cochinita spring rolls" - divine food, whoever thought up that combination was a... My wife and i who are spending the winter in merida went to "cubaro"retaurant which is part of this collection of 3-tobago-slavia-cubaro --we went with 2 other family members--the food was very goog--when we asked for a wine list--our waiter instead brought 3 bottles of wine to the table for us to choose from--we asked the price--he mumbled something and...
