We passed on this place for dinner Saturday night and I wish we hadn't. (See review of Cafe Peon Contreras) Saw it again on Sunday and decided to give it a try for breakfast; we were not disappointed! We each had an egg scramble, mine with chia and bacon and my husband had chorizo. They were both delicious! The cappuccino... More

Starting with the good things....the service was friendly and attentive. The location is terrific....one block from the Zocalo. And we were there on a perfect night....the weather was ideal for sitting outside. Now to the less good stuff...the food. We ordered queso fundido with chorizo for a starter....the chorizo was thrown on top and as the cheese congealed (quickly) it... More

We enjoyed our lunch at Los Trompos (Buenavista Location). We order some Pastor tacos and Nachos Especiales de Pastor and it was delicious. However, why do drinks and I mean water and soda so expensive? Other than that great place. Free Wifi, clean, good service, kids play area.

We are a regular visitors of City Center one. The quality with the years is decreasing, tasteless "salsas" and expensive if you know about real Mexican food cost and flavor. Something extra... you will find always ants or fly around you (Closed local) uncomfortable hi volume on tv.

Los Trompos has many locations around Merida but the one in centro, on the corner of 59 and 60, one block North of the Catherdral, is the only one that serves breakfast. I have eaten at many other places in morning but I think Los Trompos trumps them all, not saying it is the best on the world, just a... More

Great restaurant for authentic Mexican food that is very accommodating for English speaking patrons. The servers speak English. We brought a large group in twice in one week to eat and everyone loved the food choices and quality. Was only complicated when we tried to do separate checks. Actually took longer to clear the bill than get our food, but... More

The food here was beyond what we expected. Poc-chuc tacos, steak, grilled corn, baked potatoes with cream and bacon. We went back two days later, and the friendly staff remembered us and recommended dishes based on what we had liked at our previous visit.

Once again during our trip this year we went a couple of time to Los Trompos. Never disappointed. Perfect Margaritas, good simple basic Yucatecan food, good wine and good service. Price are extremely correct, and we will very certainly go back again and again!

The service in this restaurant is excellent. I had breakfast which consisted of coffee, aMexican style biscuit, and a plate of fruit with yogurt. The coffee and biscuit were delicious, but the fruit was meh.

The food was really bad...like Fast food bad. The service horrible. The waiter took an order for my daughter and I and walked away without my husband's. He had to follow him. What came was not what he ordered. Even chips and guacamole were not so good.....really stingy with the store bought chips. Skip it.
