Authentic Irish Pub in Merida!

Stopped in for a pint and met owner, Sean Hennessey, which was a pleasure! The furnishings are great and atmosphere very good as well. Nice addition of roof top at night!

A little taste of home which is nice from time to time. All day breakfast, bangers and mash, and lots of Guinness! Nightly bands as well.

After a week in Merida we thought a little taste of home would hit the spot. After all, what could go wrong with burgers and fish n chips. Everything! Rubbery fish and rather tasteless burgers. Also if ordering a burger insist on well done.

Good pub food, good wait staff very accommodating, good value, cheap evening out with a meal and a few draft beers for 200 pesos. Take a table in the courtyard if one is available, and if not climb the stairs to the upper floor garden overlooking the courtyard and musicians. The gal that sings there on Friday nights (sorry I... Another local trip to Ireland in Merida! Best fish and chips in town with attentive service and nice warm welcome from Sean and Sergio. Hennessy's remains a sure bet when you feel Irish or wish to be one. Great daily specials on the board , beers and whiskies more than you'll ever need on ou feel like smoking or dinig... More

This was my second visit to Hennessy’s in 4 years and I didn’t find anything to entice me back any time soon. First of all their publicity placed on the very beautiful Paseo de Montejo said ‘Live music on Friday and Saturday nights’’. Well, there is none on Saturday, which amazed me, just a DJ playing quite loud music that... More

If you like loud pubs with many differents kind of beer and ales, and lots of older expats this is he place for you.. The food is not great, I ordered a Kobe burger and was told they didn't have any but was told another burger on the menu was kobe too. Terrible, the typical grey burger that was undercooked.... Arrived early in the afternoon - fortunately. By the time we left, there were people waiting for seats. Atmosphere was great, owner was very personable and took time to talk to all of us. Can't really rate the food fairly as we had a late lunch/early dinner of corned beef and cabbage and it still needed a little more time... More

Had a great lunch St. Patrick's day with a bunch of friends. Good food and nice entertainment. Friendly staff. A little bit of Ireland in friendly Merida.

Went with friends (6 at our table) based on some advertised info, in particular the 20 types of Irish Whiskey. Well that turned out to be 6 different bottles, most of which were Jamieson's. They had Guiness in cans; but posted Guiness on tap advertizing around the establishment. Advertised specialties were not available; perhaps it would have been better to... More
