By far our favourite restaurant in Merida, would grace any major city

We visited several times during our holiday because it really was excellent. A creative menu executed to a very high-standard, a good wine list, cold cold cocktails, a buzzy atmosphere, friendly staff. What more can you ask for? In fact we liked it so much we booked a room in the hotel for our... read more

Went here on a date night with the lady and another couple. We all really enjoyed our food and thought the price was right. If you're looking for a place with very good food and a nice atmosphere, this is a place worth visiting.

A marvelous dining experience, both for lunch and dinner, owned and operated by a very exacting and interesting individual, Carol Kolozs. We enjoyed a wide variety of dining experiences in Merida from very local taco establishments to Rosas Y Xocoalte. All very excellent in their own right, with Rosas at the top of our list for exquisite dining! We fully... More

We love this restaurant so much we went there three times during our short stay in Merida. Everything about it was exquisite - the ambience, the food and the attentive and charismatic owner. We stumbled upon it on our first night in Merida. We were hesitant to go in because we were dressed casually and it looked very elegant, but... More

Last year, we went to this restaurant and everything was perfect: the food, the service and the atmosphere. I cannot say the same this time around. We had loved Merida so much, we brought some friends with us on our trip and had to go to this restaurant. Some of us took the tasting menu and I warned them a... More

Tonight, we went to R y X for a light dinner. It was a beautiful warm winter night, so we asked to be seated in the courtyard. A few minutes after our wine was poured, a photo shoot, complete with art director, lighting equipment, etc. showed up to photograph a young lady wearing a hideous white evening gown. Pretty much... This restaurant is absolutely beautiful. In terms of atmosphere, it could compare with any great restaurant in New York. There is a substantial wine list that has some great bottles, something that is not so common in Mexico. The food was inconsistent. I got a rib eye, which was very good, but the duck appetizer was tough and unappetizing. The... More

We ate at this restaurant our last night in Merida. The restaurant atmosphere is really charming, but the food was average and quite expensive. I would not return next trip.

I just got back from Merida. My daughter wanted to try this restaurant based on the reviews. We were not disappointed. We went there for lunch and I had the salmon and she had the beef. We were also served homemade breads which were delicious. The meals had excellent presentations and we were very impressed. The owner just happened to... More

I found the food at the restaurant to be decent. We only ate in merida one night, and this was our choice. I got the filet in oregano, and my beef was amazing, but I found the herbs to be a bit too much flavor for me. My husband loved the pork rack. I'm a picky eater. We went to... More
