Never had a bad meal there

Eat upstairs at the outside bar and it was truly a great meal. I ordered the Pork Belly and my wife had the Sea Bass. Both were excellant. Always good and Carol, the owner, is always there and is a pleasure to talk with. He is truly dedicated to the revitalization of Paseo Montejo.

This place was such a knockout when they first opened. My last few lunches there were fairly disappointing. Hamburgers were tough and chewy, as if frozen, despite being dressed and seasoned so beautifully. The staff abandons you at will, laughing and singing out of view. A little training is in order.

The hotel as well as the restaurant is too over-rated.

The food was not the problem. The atmosphere is conducive but the owner is bothersome.

Took a chance for a dinner here, as it did not have a lot of restaurant guests when I looked in (it was already dark)....usually the lack of diners is a clear sign to stay away, but in this case, I was very pleasantly surprised. Eventually, another dozen of so guests showed up. I was very surprised, the food was... More

Visted this restaurant last Sunday night. The restaurant was empty, and quite dark but we went to the terrace upstairs and it was nice and breeze with few other customers. The terrace overlooks the Paseo Montejo with people walking around and taking "caleza" rides. The waiters were friendly and kindly suggested wines and appetizers. We tried the octopus "chicharrones". Perfectly... More

A delightful detail of our meal here was the artistic presentation of our food. For example, my roasted tomato soup was presented with a large bowl filled just in the center with micro shaved vegetables and cheese. The soup itself was poured, piping hot from a small pitcher, surrounding the center. Artful! The rest of the dinner was on a similar... More

The only one in it´s kind in Mérida. High class accomodations, small hotel with all you may need and more. Don´t even miss a visit just to see it.
